A power cord and an optical cable, your done with the soundbar part. The subwoofer is even better, a power cord only. My old system had about 10 wires and cables

Only issue I have with it seems to be related to my older 4k Sony TV. The sound bar will turn itself on if it is detecting a signal from the optical connection, but will also turn itself on in my case when the TV is turned off and there is no signal coming to it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the HW-B550 Soundbar. We appreciate your experiences with your new unit.
If you do not want your soundbar to power on when your TV powers on, you will need to turn Auto Power Link off. This feature is turned on by default.
Press and hold the left direction on the direction pad on the soundbar remote for more than 5 seconds or until Auto Power Link appears on the soundbar display to activate or deactivate Auto Power Link.

Projects the sound great and woofer is cool for sound effects. A few connection issues. Switching between streaming services and sound will go out. Tuning off and back on seems to correct. Sound doesn’t always track with shows, again pausing and restarting will correct.

The sound-bar seems to work fine, but it was a little weird that the installer tried to charge me money just to plug a single cord into the tv. I was able to do that for free.
