Thank you for sharing your review regarding the HW-B550 Soundbar. I am sorry that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.
Your experience is very important to us and will be shared with our product team. Please know that your soundbar has an Auto Power Down Function that turns off the soundbar automatically if it is in one of the following modes: D.IN, HDMI, BT, or USB and there is no audio signal for 20 minutes. It will also automatically turn off if the Aux cable is disconnected for 20 minutes.
If you are having issues while your soundbar is shutting down while in use, there are a few steps you can take to assist with this situation.
First, update the firmware of your soundbar. You can download the full user manual directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-B550 under Standard.
You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the side of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT” appears on the display and the soundbar will be reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.
