It replaced an underwhelming Yamaha in the bedroom. The Samsung is impressive, especially if you can get it on sale. I haven't watched anything Dolby yet but the general sound is very pleasing. I've been surprised at the bass - even sitcoms and theme songs bring out some bass I didn't know was there. In the bedroom, with the woofer on the lowest setting, it is still satisfying. I just ordered a second one of these same soundbars to replace the LG SP8YA in the living room, now that I know what I've been missing.

I can really hear a conversation still taking place on screen while there are a lot of action elements (insert pops, explosions and crashes etc). We are about 10ft away from the TV and I think it's been great. I am considering rear speakers just for a full immersive experience but so farthis has been performing so well that I'm not sure I'll need them.
