I am hearing impaired and it makes a huge difference especially when the dialogue is low, as in whispers, etc.

However. the paper manual that comes with the soundbar is pretty useless for anything except default hookup. I wanted to make a simple change (have the sound bar controlled by the TV volume) and had to search out the online manual to do that.
