A replacement for an older 2.1 sound bar. 3.1 was a nice upgrade that made dialog much easier to hear. Subwoofer was better as well.

It’s ok . Good sound but doesn’t auto adjust like some of the higher end models. This means commercials are usually significantly louder than the tv show

You may want to try Adaptive Sound Lite, which allows you to enjoy optimized sound for your favorite video content, including sports, games, movies and more - with technology that enhances whatever you are watching.
You may want to try checking the sound format on your TV to ensure you are getting the best experience for a surround sound setup.
If your Digital Output Audio Format is set to PCM then you will likely notice decreased performance with surround sound audio systems. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
On a Samsung TV this setting can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)
Additionally, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV or soundbar. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV or soundbar and then try cable connection again.

I returned this item as soon as it arrived. I ordered a matching TV on 2 different occasions from the store to be delivered. This first time, the order was automatically canceled with no explanation 30 minutes after the delivery window had passed. The second time i ordered the TV i scheduled it to be installed by the Geek Squad and less than 12 hours before delivery they told me they were unable to deliver and install my TV. The customer service for Best Buy is complete trash and i will most likely never purchase anything from this company again.
Please know you are leaving a review and a 1-star rating for the HW-B650, but we are sorry to hear of your Best Buy experience, nonetheless. You may want to consider providing feedback directly to the Best Buy store where you made your purchase.

Worked and sounded well for about 1 year then started having some connection issues...chose another option this time.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the HW-B650 Soundbar. There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar.
First, you will want to download the latest software for your Soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-B650 under Standard.
Download the update and install it via USB thumb stick to your soundbar. If you need additional help, there are how-to instructions on this page. Please know that Samsung Customer Service is here to assist as well.
Please verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
Next, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.

It took a bit to get someone to ask questions about the product but once we did it was pretty easy to make a decision. The product directions should have noted that I needed an additional cord but I just happen to have one so it was fine

I was reading and reading reviews on this soundbar,I wanted to upgrade from a 7 almost 8 years old Samsung HW-J355 I have and I was so excited about buying this one but not even close sound to my old soundbar at all,it sounded like “the little sister” and have to returned it the next day…so so disappointed on this purchased,I bet there are cheaper soundbars out there but this one was a NO No ,,,and I love Samsung products but I have to be honest on this one..!!!

I bought this soundbar thinking it would be pretty good. I tried it for a couple days. I messed with all the settings and i just couldn't get to liking it. The soundbar itself is good. The subwoofer is terrible. I can barely hear any bass at all times, I turned the sub settings all the way up and didn't change a thing. Also the remote is very cheap feeling and feels like its going to break changing the volume. It doesn't at all sound like something producing 430w. total power. I returned this and went with a different brand for the same price and its so much better.
