I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the sound occasionally dropping from your soundbar. You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.
In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.
You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the side of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. The light indicator on the front of the soundbar will blink 4 times and the soundbar will be reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.
Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.
I hope these tips help. For more assistance, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat with an agent as well as manuals, software, and warranty info can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this soundbar due to it being on sale and was genuinely excited. When I hooked it up the first night, the optical line kept cutting in and out. I switched to hdmi-arc which worked great for 3 months, until it didn’t work. The only mode that works on this soundbar is Bluetooth. I really wanted hdmi-arc for the higher quality sound. I called Samsung and spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to fix it he issue, only to now having to ship it directly back. I’d stay away from this one. With the money you would use to buy a warranty you can get a better soundbar.

I had high hopes with all the good reviews.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounds good when the source supports Dolby, but the Dolby setting sounds like garbage when the source doesn't support Dolby audio, obviously. The problem is that every other audio setting it gives like a vibrating feedback at the end of every single spoken sentence. The problem only exists when people speak, but it drives me insane. Most of the time I just turn the TV speaker back on if what I'm watching isn't in Dolby.

Posted .Hi DavidG,
Thank you for taking a few moments to review the HW-B650 Soundbar.
Here are a few tips to try and troubleshoot your issue.
Try manually connecting your sub to your soundbar by pressing and holding ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.
Please verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
