Your HW-B650 Soundbar features a powerful bass with a 6.5” wireless subwoofer & Adaptive Sound which optimizes the sound based on the content.
There are a few ways you can improve your overall audio experience.
Press and hold the (Sound Control) button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.

Sound was too “tinny”

This sound bar sounded ok in the store, but when I hooked it up at home, it was too “tinny” and the adjustments couldn’t solve it. It was hard to listen to, so I returned it and then tried and returned a Sony, and ended up with the JBL SB550 which was cheaper and had much better sound quality.

Bad soundbar.

The soundbar unit wouldn’t power up. Returned and used my old soundbar. I checked power adapter and its output was 24V so issue within soundbar. Had both digital and HDMI cables connected.

We bought the sound bar so we could hear our TV more clearly. We set it up and it worked about five days and then it reverted back to TV speakers. I came into the store and got written instructions on how to pair the tv, sound bar and box together. But it doesn’t work for long. I need to have someone come to the house to see if there’s something wrong in the set-up or the sound bar, I was told it would cost $100.00 to have someone come out to the house which is four miles from the store. So for now we spent $300.00 and we are back we started.

Was a return item but reported to be In “excellent” condition. Which by Best Buy definition was supposed to come with all original equipment. Cosmetically everything was perfect. But no power cord and no users manual. Seems this would be original equipment.

Sound bar is off the hook with the woofer.I purchased 65 in samsung with sound bar and woofer a complete package and price was great

Please verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.

Your basic bar sounds system. I had to return it because there were missing components. I probably would not have kept it anyway as it doesn't sound as good as my current Logitech four way gaming system

This thing sounds great ! My goodness! Makes every music sound greater than it actually is! This thing actually speaks to you.
I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the overall volume of the Samsung HW-B650 soundbar. If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM audio on your TV. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.

Nice sound but I have to manually change it back to BT (Blue Tooth) alot. Often times the speakers change to "TV" speakers and want BT instead.Default stays on "TV" but use it in BT mode

If a previously paired Bluetooth device tries to pair with the Soundbar when the Bluetooth Power On function is on and the Soundbar is turned off, the Soundbar turns on automatically. 1. Press and hold the SOUND MODE button for more than 5 seconds on the remote while the Soundbar is turned on. 2. “ON-BLUETOOTH POWER” appears on the Soundbar’s display.
This will allow the Soundbar to power on automatically when you start pairing your device.
