      You can optimize your audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.

      By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.

      Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

    Went to set this up and doesn’t work. Have appointment today at store for assistance but per my receipt it’s not returnable after 30 days. We will see Best Buy!

      Thank you for taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-B650 Soundbar.

      Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.

      1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper right corner.
      2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
      2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
      3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
      4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
      5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
      - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
      - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
      - When the latest Version is installed, no update is performed.
      - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
      6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

    With the sale price this is a good buy and the unit is worth what I paid for it. It is not as good as the sound system I have with my DVD player.

    bought this soundbar last week and it is already broken. sound cutting in and out constantly. looked up the problem on bestbuy reviews and samsung website and you have to download software update via usb and plug in usb into the soundbar. not trying to do all that when I paid 300+ for this soundbar. I would avoid this at all costs. imagine payin 300+ for a soundbar and there is already a problem with it 1 week in. unbelievable.

    Subwoofer did not work. Despite the blue light showing connected to the soundbar via bluetooth, no sound was coming out of the subwoofer. Spent most of one day chatting with Best Buy support and Samsung, but issue could not be resolved.

    This sound bar is awful!! Not user friendly and the sound is horrible. I bought it on the recommendation from the sales person. None of the sounds bars on display were hooked up to be able to hear the sound. Do not purchase.

      There are a few settings you can change to improve your overall audio experience.

      By pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function. The desired settings can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
      AUDIO SYNC - NIGHT MODE ON/OFF - VOICE ENHANCE ON/OFF

      AUDIO SYNC
      If the video on the TV and audio from the Soundbar are not synchronized, press the (Sound Control) button to select AUDIO SYNC and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons. (Not available in “USB” or “BT” mode.)

      NIGHT MODE ON/OFF
      This mode is optimized for nighttime viewing with the settings adjusted to bring the volume down but keep the dialog clear.

      VOICE ENHANCE ON/OFF
      This mode is makes it easier to hear spoken dialog in movies and TV.

      The NIGHT MODE, and VOICE ENHANCE audio function can be turned ON/OFF by
      using the Up/Down buttons.

    I did not care for this Samsung sound bar, I purchased it to go with my new Samsung QLED 4K TV, I’ve always had good luck with Samsung TVs so I decided to try the sound bar, hard to operate not good sound, made the decision to return to retailer

    Won't ever buy Samsung speakers again

    Just spent an hour with Samsung support having to update the software because apparently the subwoofer just couldn't connect to the Soundbar without it. So dumb. I bought Samsung speakers to go with my Frame, but apparently it was still a hassle. I will be upgrading to Bose.

      There are a few ways you can troubleshooting your Soundbar. First, make sure that the Soundbar it setup where the Samsung logo is facing upwards, with the speakers facing you.

      We do recommend using a HDMI cable as this will offer the best audio and experience available. If you are still experiencing issues, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

      Next, with the Soundbar on, press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN) buttons on the body at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
