      You can optimize your audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.

      By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.

      Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

      Lastly, press the CH LEVEL button so you can adjust the volume of the CENTER LEVEL using the UP/DOWN buttons from -6 to +6.

    Stay away. Nightmare

    Had this for a year. Nothing but issues with the Bluetooth aspect. Sometimes it would be connected and just play no sound. Just a terrible product. Troubleshot it a ton. Just tons of issues. The worst soundbar I’ve ever purchased

      Thank you for taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-B650 Soundbar.

      Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.

      1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper right corner.
      2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
      2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
      3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
      4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
      5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
      - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
      - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
      - When the latest Version is installed, no update is performed.
      - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
      6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

    Sound sucks

    TV sound generally sucks, and this did not improve it. Someone who should know told me better sound only comes at a much higher price. We have cut cable TV so our TV sound comes from streaming or broadcast but in either case is bad. Not sure I want to spend what it would take. Why don’t TV makers offer good sound???

    I waited a day for the online order to be picked. Came back day 2 and it still wasn’t ready so I was told if I take my self it’s I’m shoplifting so customer service pulled the order. I only got it line cause the website said it would be ready next day. The sound quality isn’t great.

    Piece of junk! Soundbar is weak. Subwoofer sucks and barely works. Stopped working in a year. I would rather use the TV speakers

      We appreciate you taking a moment to review the HW-B650 Soundbar.

      The subwoofer is responsible for low-frequency sounds, like the rumbles of an explosion in an action movie or the bass guitar and drum in your favorite music. It adds rich bass tones and deepens the sound quality you hear, but since the subwoofer only plays low tones, it will be silent when low frequency sounds are not in use. If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by toggling the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

      If the audio from the wireless subwoofer is dropping out intermittently there are a few things to check before performing any troubleshooting:
      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall.
      3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
      4) Check all the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
      5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-A450 on the Samsung website.

    Huge disappointment!!

    The product worked perfectly for a month, and then the sound bar would intermittently quit with no sound. Best Buy refuses to refund or exchange item because it was past 14 days. Not happy!!

    Woofer didnt work

    Soundbar worked great. Woofer on the other hand had no sound and shows its lynked. No user guide so had to use videos as customer seevice said they had no idea

      Hello,

      Thank you for sharing your review regarding the HW-B650 Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are experiencing this issue with your unit. There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar.

      First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

      If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.

      If the hard reset does not fix your subwoofer issue, then you can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-B650 under Standard.
