Good Sound -- If and When It Works

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a reasonably priced, decent-sounding 3.1ch soundbar with subwoofer combination for a while. When I heard this in the store, I thought I had found my wish. NO SUCH LUCK. From the day this was installed, the remote control wouldn't work, I couldn't get it to have a full sound, and my main reason for having a 3.1ch system -- to be able to emphasize voice over background -- didn't function at all. Considering all the frustrations, you should not be surprised to read that I exchanged it for a soundbar from the company that manufactured my TV. Would I recommend this soundbar? Not if you have a Sony TV.

But I am not sure that the subwoofer is working. It is on, and there is some slight sound from it, and it doesn't make any difference whether it is on or off.
