Great and fast service with great customer service. Thank you
We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-S50B Soundbar.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM audio on your TV. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
On a Samsung TV this can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)

Not a fan had to spend money on a alternative usb cable. Doesn’t fit well on fireplace. First one I bought I was told by salesman that it was on sale but, when I returned it because it was broken. The next one I bought was $20 cheaper search games they play.

Do not waste your money this product cuts out constantly. It's beyond aggravating & I had to go back to the regular TV speakers.I hoped the bad reviews were bad units but apparently I got one too. Don't take the chance like I did.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with your HW-S50B Soundbar.
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the sound occasionally dropping from your soundbar. You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.
In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements.
You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. The light indicator on the front of the soundbar will blink 4 times and the soundbar will be reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.
Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.
Samsung is committed to providing the best possible product experience, quality, and value. We back this Samsung Soundbar with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defect, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller

Samsung doesn’t disappoint. Bought this for the bedroom TV and it’s perfect.
We appreciate you taking a moment to review the HW-S50B Soundbar.
Please know, that some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV or soundbar. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV or soundbar and then try cable connection again.
• Check that the soundbar is correctly positioned correctly with the SAMSUNG logo facing up toward the ceiling. We have found that many customers are misplacing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when seated), with the unit resting on the speakers, resulting in a muffled sound.
• First, please check that you have positioned the soundbar correctly. It has come to our attention that customers may be positioning the soundbar incorrectly, resulting in poor sound quality. The soundbar should be placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on Samsung.com and zoom in on the photos) If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when you sit), you will experience muffled or low-quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

This is my first soundbar. It works nicely but does not have the sound I was expecting. Maybe another type would have been better. But that aside, it works better than the TV.

I don’t think it is working right. They exchanged the other one because it wasn’t working and this one isn’t working right either. Plus the TV doesn’t seem to be working right. Spend all this money and end up with crap.
Works ok until they leave!!

The sound is good we needed to use the included hdmi to connect to our tv. I think thats more the fault or our tv than the soundbar. It connects to phones via Bluetooth with no issues.
