The trackpad is the most finicky, annoying thing I have every used. The power button is on the side, so when I pick up my computer I often accidentally turn it off. It also doesn't always turn off when you close the it. I don't know how that works, but there have been many times where it randomly starts speaking to me about how to improve my computer in the middle of the night. So I have to power it down completely every time. If I don't, it's dead the next time I open it. I can't complete a full school and work day on the battery life. (Word processing and internet use throughout the day but not even any video/Netflix/music streaming). My MacBook Air that I bought in 2013 had a much better battery life. I wish I had paid more attention to the return policy, I thought it was 30 days not 15. Last time I will make that mistake.

It does the job that I need it for. Only real problem is it often kicks you back one screen a lot.

This computer was sold in the gaming computer section. It's definitely NOT worthy of that distinction. Also, I paid $800ish for this, and have had two hardware failures in less than 2 years. Go with a different computer. If I knew then what I know now about computer specs, I wouldn't have paid more than $300-400 for this.

This laptop works just fine but for me it was too heavy. The battery life isn't that good either.

Never again. This WAS my first Samsung laptop and not even a year into owning this device, it has been junked out by the manufacture. It began with the charger cable, not charging, unless I let the battery go below 100%, then would it fully charge. Then the screen began to delay and freeze for a minute or so before allowing me to sign in. I kept the updates updated and the system clean, but there was a drag beginning. The last straw was the black screen and though I followed the screens instructions and even online advice, nothing. Geek squad could not even recover my data, and had to send it out. Never saw the thing again. I have only owned HP and one Toshiba, which had Toshiba still been available, that is what I would of got again, but no I took a BB workers advice and got this mess. Happy with Geek Squad protection, but not Samsung's laptop.

This is a good computer with a reasonable price. Good for kids.

every time you pick it up, you shut it off. The power button is on the side and in a horrible spot. The speakers lack a lot, not very loud. extremely touchy, it changes screens and programs if the curser even gets close to another program. I have (11) Samsung televisions so I thought this would be great. I would love to be able to take it back. I've had it about 6 weeks, it is horrible and I don't have time to screw with all the problems all the time. charles

I was told the open box was a good deal and was in good condition. I took home and Within hours of starting an error msg came up and locked up. I took back to store and they could not fix. Buyer beware if the deal seems too good to be true. Simply put, what a waste of energy and time. And I didn't enjoy this expensive purchase experience.

i was expecting a great connection from Samsung but it was really bad, when you download something you can not watch or brows anything, the internet goes down. the laptop is also Heavy and battery life is %75 after 20 minutes of use. the worst quality of items goes to Bestbuy, so that is why they can compete with the Internet prices.

It's really fast however battery is no different then other branded laptops

They did not have anymore computers left so I took a display model but it wasn't working properly and I had to return it. I was disappointed because I do like Samsung.

I have had HP laptops for the last 10 years, and have decided it was time to try something new. When I was looking for this laptop, there were a few things that I knew I didn't want. First was that I could not stand how hot my HP laptops would get. With the Samsung this has not been a problem. It remains cool to the touch even when operating demanding programs. I am not a gamer, nor do I plan on doing any intense photo editing, so I cannot comment on that, but it is nice to know that I can add a solid state hard drive, as well as upgrade to 32 Gb ram if I need to. Some of the other laptops in this category were not upgradable. One thing that is also a nice feature with this laptop is that the charging cable plugs into the left side of the laptop. This is awesome, and not many laptops are configured this way. Because I can use this laptop in my vehicle without fear of the charging cable digging into the seat. The screen is also very bright and clear. I would recommend this laptop to everyone. Normally I would consider the price a little steep, but I picked up during a Labor day sale + College student discount so I saved 250 dollars!

I went back and forth between getting a PC of a Mac before stumbling upon the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin. The specs were nice and the price was even better. After a week and a half of use, I can honestly say that I am very pleased. This laptop is pretty fast. The screen is very nice and comparable to that of a MacBook. The keyboard is nicely spaced out and very comfortable to type on. It is a bit heavier than I would have liked, but it is a nice, solid build, which I can't get mad about at all. It charges super fast, but to be honest, I do wish the battery life lasted a little bit longer. While on heavy use of browsing, videos, and a lot of other moderate processing, I would say the laptop on battery gets between 3 to 4 hours (which isn't bad, but 5 to 6 hours would be better). If there's one thing I absolutely hate about this laptop (and this wasn't a deal breaker for me since the laptop overall is great) is that the power and volume buttons are on the lower right hand side, around the area where you would likely be holding the laptop when you have to move it it or pick it up. I'm trying not to get in the habit of reaching for that part of the laptop, but at times, I do and I accidentally hit these buttons, including the power button. Overall though, I'm glad I made this purchase. To me, I got a MacBook quality, but a Windows OS and price as well!

Disappointing, 2 failed hard drives within months.

I bought this laptop recently, this laptop is very quiet and very efficient. It can be switched to tablet mode, and the screen is also nice, with touch screen. This is really a great laptop for the price.

This laptop is THE best package of machine that I've ever seen. It's been a month so far and it's running without a glitch. Of course, given that it's only i5 and not the latest and the fastest i7, one would expect it to be slightly on the slower side, but no. It runs like a cheetah. Tremendous speed, no sound at all even with all that speed and multi-tasking. I hope it stays by my side for quite a while. Oh yeah, it's also super durable. Just the other day, I dropped it from a table in my school and literally nothing happened to it. Later I saw a video that explained how durable these samsung laptops are and the kind of durability tests they have to go thru. Really proud to have made a right decision to get this laptop and not a macbook which would have been a little more expensive and I'd have to start all over again with mac OS, which I have zero experience of.

First one I bought right out off the box did not turn on. Exchanged for same model and it is working fine so far. Like the size. A little heavier than expected, but this is not a big deal. Feels really well built, which is necessary for a student. Doesn't come with as much bloat ware as other brands. Speed is excellent for an I5. Hard drive capacity is more than enough for my usage. May swap out for SSD in the future for faster booting and less chance for disk failure. All around a good machine so far.

Ive been researching and shopping for the perfect laptop. Just wanted a nice laptop for home use...streaming movies, internet, some apps but want it to be fast. This fit the bill. Its very nice quality and works very well so far. Set up went smoothly and I was impressed with the picture quality. My only complaint is, I wish it wasn't so heavy. I'm not sure why they made this new Notebook heavier and thicker then last years model. Other then that I really like it..great buy!

I'm a law student who needed a reliable computer to keep me company for those late night study/streaming binges. I was out of the computer buying game for quite some time and I thought I was going to become a Mac sellout..... until I walked into Best Buy and realized that Samsung made computers. (News to me). It was love at first sight. That's when I met this beautiful lass Sam(sung). With her aluminum shell gleaming from the florescent lighting above, she caught my eye from the corner of the laptops section.... and I was drawn in by her radiating glow. Her screen, a temptress, shining 2,073,600 beautiful pixels of how our great our future could be. I lost myself in the possibilities... in her abilities, durability, and frankly - her flexibility. I tried walking by and just taking a glance... trying to play it cool... but it didn't take long for me to realize she was drawing me in with every pass. I couldn't play it cool anymore and I finally walked right up to her and I held her in my hands. The cool touch of her smooth aluminum body sent me into a trance. I opened it up, her keys lit up with excitement as I caressed them softly. With her top open, there was a strong resemblance to her cousin, Mac. I had played with Mac a few times... it was nothing serious, only a short fling but I knew Sam(sung) was different. She was fast, she was sleek, and she was so much better at saving me money. She wasn't a gold digger. She simply wanted me to take her out for a fraction of what her cousin Mac wanted. Sam(sung) also had a desire that her cousin Mac didn't... she yearned for the touch of my fingers to control her by her screen. It was clear to me that things were going great between us. I knew that she had all the space to create a Terabyte of memories. It was an easy decision to take her home that day. She was fortunate enough to have me and we've lived happily ever after for over 3 months thus far. She's gotten me through the ups and downs of streaming Westworld's crazy adventures, she's consoled me as I cried myself to sleep at night reviewing my Business Organization notes from class on One Note, and she has done all of this for me without tying me to a wall with her cord for hours and hours. She never makes me feel tied down as we stream, surf, and listen to all our favorite things. Sam(sung) and Me 4ever. She's more than a 7, she's a 10.
