NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL WITH THE 4K PICTURE. LOOKS LIKE A BLU-RAY MOVIE. I PLAYED 3 NEW 4K MOVIES. I DON'T SEE ANY DIFFERENCE THAN A REGULAR DVD.

The refurbished unit I received looked fine and powered on fine, but it didn't play the first UHD (brand-new) I put into it. It made a clunk sound and ejected it. I tried a Blu-Ray and had the same problem. It worked with a DVD and the online streaming worked fine, but the whole reason I bought it was to play UHDs, so I returned it. I bought a new one while I was at the store and it works fine.

The dvd player arrived and still had issues. BESTBUY.COM needs to improve its refurbishment standards.

I will start off with i purchased a brand new one and after watching 2 movies the 4k player died so they had to give me a new one. I have a Samsung 3d blue-ray player that this replaced and i can say there is no difference besides the old one was $30 and this one is $200. I figured it would upscale a little bit but no.

I have this unit hooked to my lg oled 4k 3d tv and so far this does what it says. 3d is excellent, 4k hdr is stunning (watched some Defenders on netflix and a uhd hdr "The Last Reef" in 4khdr and this unit gets the most from my tv. No lag in speed. The refurbished came with cord, remote, unit, but no owners manual. Menu for settings is identical to my other samsung 4k tv, so i did not have an issue going through finding things. Very pleased with the price from best buy, no one can touch what they have it for. I could not be happier right now.

Alas, this was not meant to be...
I had high expectations for this item being a Samsung product, always heard good things regarding any Samsung product. But right out of the box we had problems.
One night, it suddenly shut off on me, another night it had a line go horizontally through my screen. Think of the old VHS players that when you messed up the tape there was a line through the screen, same thing happened with this item. No my disc was not scratched, it was brand new (about 2 days old - John Wick Chpt. 1). If they worked out all the kinks before selling these back to the public that would be nice. Some minor design flaws include - no display on the player, remote feels cheap and lacking a forward and rewind button (you can only skip chapters).
