Only thing I don't like is the battery life. It's honestly not horrible but I find myself having to change them about once a year. Having multiple bought at different times, it feels like I am changing a battery every few months.

Works Well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The trim around my doors is 3/4" thick, so the two parts of the sensor have a pretty significant gap between the sensors, but it still works great. I've been using 3 of them with the SmartThings Hub for about a month and have had no problems at all with them. The sensors do what they are advertised to do.

Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This sensor uses the Zigbee protocol. It was recognized quickly by SmartThings hub. I have it placed at the outer limits for distance, so it does drop communication occasionally. But it snaps out of the bracket easily so I can move it in close, reconnect and back in service in just a couple of minutes.

We were awoken to a false-alarm intrusion today, but other than that it has worked fine. Use it for non-critical home automation, though that might be more due to the smartthings hub.
