good little sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been installed for a few days. So far it is working as expected. It comes with three sensor monitoring: temperature, vibration, and contact open/close sensor. All inside one housing. Placing on the door and it can monitor the inside the home temperature, door open/close and use the vibration sensor status to tell if someone is knocking on the door. As this is a new installation, I have not yet encountered any false alarm from the sensor.

set it up and forget it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.installed this sensor on my front door as part of our home automation system. I love it and my family is in love also since installed because it just works. I used this sensor to build an automation program to set the alarm when we leave and sound an alarm if the door opens and it is not the family. The sensor just works and I have had it for over a year now and not had to replace the battery. Set it up and just let it work.

Easy to use but battery level on app inaccurate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like all SmartThings gadgets, setup and installation is a breeze. However, the battery level indicator on the app is inaccurate. For example, a newly installed battery will sometimes show 88% where as a battery installed several months and even dead batteries will sometimes show 100% on the app. Other than this, I really using SmartThings. I recommend checking all sensors on a monthly basis to make sure batteries are not depleted.

Great Sensors!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these little sensors. They are very discrete and were super easy to install. We've found it to be convenient to be able to hop in the app and quickly check that all the doors in the house are shut. One nice thing to note is the sensors dont have to be touching to register they are closed. So when you have a door with a little bit of a weird gap, you can still use them.

Smartthings is awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 37 Z-Wave devices in my house. All of them work well and this sensor is no exception. I paired it to a switch which turns on a light above my pantry. If it is dark outside when you open the pantry, the light turns on and off. The only downside is the light turns off even when you want it to stay on. I can probably find a way to stop this but haven't invested the time to research it.

Smartthings works...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been upgrading my smart home as a DIY user and have based it off of smart things - as long as your able to figure out the right use for these devices and set up the right rules - there are numerous possibilities out there - the multipurpose sensor is very easy to setup and remains connected as long as you have other z-wave compatible devices in your network..

Good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought three of these as open/close sensors for the three doors to my house. They are easy to set up with the Smart Things hub and serve their purpose. Temperature sensing and battery readings are an extra useful bonus. Highly recommend.

Sensors seem to work well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My oldest one is 36 days old, and battery is 100%. Works well with sticky pads for all my doors minus one. Because the trim had a lip on the edge next to door, I had to use the mounting bracket. Wasn't a big deal, but took an extra 5min to get it attached. The white does stand out on stained doors. May go back and stain them after warranty expires.

Protection and notification for doors and windows
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the multipurpose sensors on my doors and windows to integrate them into my smartthings home security system. They can tell you the temperature in the area where they are mounted and even turn on lights with the vibration function if you have lights set up with your smartthings system.

Delivers per expectation and more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried and in use 24x7 all the sensors of this device and found functional and reliable. Open/Close, Accelerometer (for detecting door knocks as well as position shift/movement applications) and temperature sensors work reliably as advertised. A very useful and versatile device for which one can find many creative applications.

Easy Setup & Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a couple of these sensors to place on my back window and door and was impressed with how easy they were to connect to my SmartThings Hub. I like that I can see the battery level and the temperature as well open/close within the app. I will definitely be adding a couple more in the future.

The real deal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought the cheaper chinese ones which will conect to smartthings, but these do more things (sense vibration, temperature) and they are much more reliable. They have alao been coming down in price! In my opinion, having less headaches and more sensors is worth the extra price

Good Multipurpose Sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Multipurpose Sensor does much more than just sense when a door or window opens or closes. It provides temperature readings and senses movement or vibration which can then be used to trigger other smart devices. I'm using this to sense when my garage door is opened or closed.

Good door sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure how useful the measurement of vibration is but temperature and open/close is what I really wanted it for. I'm also glad it uses a more standard button battery rather than an expensive and rarer 23F or some sort like the sensors I was using in the Iris system.

Really glad I got this.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased two of these, one for the Front Door and one for the Back. They really work well and I particularly like that they also give the temperature and you can set a warning if it goes below a preset level. Have not had any issue with it after the first month.

Great sensing capability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long lasting battery. Great sensing of open and close, temperature, and displacement. It does lose connection from time to time (hence only 4 stars).

I love how simple smartthings is to setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The door sensors are very easy to set up with smartthings hub using the app. This purchase I am using it as a garage door sensor and it works perfect. I have purchased other door sensors for use on my exterior doors with great success.

Does its job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Smartthings Hub is required for this to work, but once you have it, setup was pretty easy. Alerts can be done with the the Smart Home Monitor as a DIY security within the Smartthings mobile app, or the "Notify Me When" SmarApps found in the Marketplace of the app. The latter took me a while to find as it wasn't obvious. Use it as a door or window open/close monitor or even use it as a garage door open/close monitor (you'll have to adjust the settings to do this). I've read that battery power is poor but so far, only a month of use, so far so good!

Awesome if you're a SmartThings buyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty cool sensor. I purchased it for the open/close alerts on a door, but it also has some other sensors, the other sensor I use is temperature to monitor the temperature of my garage and to see if the door is open.
