Works great to know when a dot is opened and have lights automatically turn on. It is also nice to know that someone knocks on your door when you are not home. I also like it has a temperature sensor as well.

Works great with my Smart Things Hub. Great to keep the house at the right temperature, since it has a temperature sensor on it, so it triggers my thermostat to keep the temperature just right.

If you want to make sure that your doors are closed, this is a great product. It connects to the smartthing app very easy and you can see the condition of the house from anywhere.

It's great getting a notification on my phone whenever someone opens the door. It lets me trigger a light to turn on, keeping me from stumbling through the dark when I get home.

Work great. Tell the temperature, as well as state. Would have preferred better battery like cr123 even if it would have made it slightly larger.

This is a great device but be sure to understand that you cannot use it where the gap between the sensor and the receiver is over 0.5”. If you do, it will always say it is open.

I am beginning to turn my home into a SmartHome and was researching ways to effectively do so while remaining fiscally responsible. I elected to purchase a Hub, several sensors, and a camera. The sensors were easy to connect and install. They provide detailed up to the minute information about your doors or windows and log openings/closings/temperature changes. Looking forward to see how these continue to serve me moving forward!

I bought this sensor mostly for my closet doors so the lights would turn on/off when the door was open/closed. They work great! Easy to set up and create routines.

These are so awesome! I know when a door is opened, closed, and the inside temperature. This is great for security, especially if you are alone. It will alert you via cell phone or tablet, that a door has been opened, or someone knocks. These sensors can be placed on anything, like a drawer, or anything that opens. Highly recommend!!

Seems to work well and with a wide variety of devices. If you have an Apple device then HomeKit is the better path but for everything else there’s Smartthings

This is a great unit to add a little smart to your home. Used with the Smart Things hub, you can use a door or window as a trigger for smart devices.

What can I say about about the Multipurpose sensor from SmartThings? Small Easy to install Easy to manage Sensitive to vibration Sensitive (for reporting on) temperature ...it can even detect the status of the garage door, in the event that I do not recall closing it! Quite possibly the single best, most versatile component in my SmartThings home automation component lineup!

I have 5 of these in my smart home setup and they are very useful I all the different routines and smart apps I use them in. The temp sensor is great for alternate zones in a Thermostat setup, they can be a knick sensor to alert you of guests, and the open close sensor can control lights, Thermostat and many other things. Though a bit pricey, it serves its purpose well and works great.

Bought these general purpose sensors for the exterior doors in my house. They are small and less expensive than the strips.

These are great. Temperature, vibration, and a magnetic door/window sensor. Functions as it should and I've found it to be great to stick to a babies crib. Notifies me when my daughter wakes up and starts moving around, what the current temperature of her room is and if the door and/or wondows are open. You can set automations to notify me if the temperature is above OR below a desired temperature but not both. Which brings me to a complaint. Why can't I have this trigger two different ways. Too hot? Turn on the AC outlet for me automatically. Baby moving alot in night hours? Turn on the radio outlet. Movement after a certain time in morning? Turn on the TV. But I can't tell it to turn on a heater outlet if it gets too cold. 1 or the other only as far as temperature controls are concerned..this sensor also does not automatically trigger the Samsung smartthings ADT alarm/hub. Only the adt sensors trigger the alarm and chimes. I would also love to see more useful features in the smart things app but that's a different issue. Overall I love love love where Samsung is heading with these "smartthings". Quite the epitome of the word.

My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I have these all over the house! It seems like a small thing, but having closet lights turn on when you open them is really nice! Also use one in my mailbox to alert me when mail arrives and one in on my dog food container so I can tell if the dogs have been fed by any member of the family. Definitely recommend!
