They do what they say they do. I don't have any complaints about it. We have quite a few of them around the house on doors and such. This photo is our basement door. I do wish however that it had a few more abilities and a slim line version (maybe humidity, or something a long those lines). Over all it is a good product though.

Great sensor, disconnects often

It is great as a door sensor since I can make it notify me when the door is open and it can tell me what temperature it is at the door. It often disconnects from the hub so I have to remove the cover, reset it, and set it up as new every so often, which annoys me.

This is a good door or window sensor. I have problem use it as a garage door sensor. I also think this is a little too big.

This was very easy to set up and get working with my SmartThings hub. The only downside is that it is too heavy for my sliding door so it does not stick no matter what kind of adhesive I use. That means that my sliding door is not able to use this sensor at all. I have one on my front door, however, and it works great.

Worthless since an update

SmartThings pushed out an update a while back and these sensors have been worthless ever since. They CONSTANTLY go offline and the only way to get them back online is to pull the battery out, reset it, relink it to the network and then delete the old one. Then do it again a few days later when they go offline again. I'm not exaggerating when I say that at least one goes offline every day or two. My attached screenshot shows $160 worth of sensors offline and worthless. The idea of using these as window/door sensors is for peace of mind and security. Since the update, they're more trouble than they're worth. Other SmartThings work reliably (light bulbs, motion sensors, etc), but these are useless. Don't buy them at any price.

The current sale price ~$20 makes them one of the most affordable door sensors on the market. Definitely worth it.

Great sensor for Smart Home

This sensor is a must have item for any smart home running a Zigbee hub. The sensor measures temperature, vibration, open/close, & tilt. I personally use SmartThings, with which it works perfectly. The sensor has a garage door mode so that it can be mounted on the garage door and tell if it is open or not.

Connection Issues

I've been using this for about 7 months and it worked flawlessly for a while. Over the last 2 or 3 months the unit will disconnect from the hub every week or 2 and become unresponsive. The only way to fix it is to remove and reinstall the battery. Spotty connection basically makes this unit unusable for me.
