It is small in size and ample in space. Worry-free for its sturdy design. Now it is a must to bring for work and play. You may not need it as a regular person working in an office but it is hard to resist thinking of the price and durability. If not a heavy user for videos or photos, the 2TB might be a better choice.

used daily for months as media storage very fast transfer speeds with supplied cable feels very durable. It does get a little warm but still 5 stars as it doesnt at all affect performance

I needed an external for my gopro footage while out on the road, and this is exactly what I needed! I could plug in and transfer my files quickly and easily, and when I go to edit, I can just plug it right into my laptop. Not having to deal with slow speeds or storage issues is a life saver! If i ever need another storage, I'll be buying one of these.

Bought this last month, I've put some heavy use on this bad boy. I have already traveled with it a few times, while working on the go, and it is great. It fell once from about 3 ft, no issues whatsoever. I've had no issues when editing 4K footage from the SSD, speed is pretty good, no issues when connecting to my macbook right out of the box. Reliable and solid SSD.

I have reviewed many products lately mainly because I’ve been mostly underwhelmed by their quality or performance. But after buying this portable SSD, I feel everyone needs to know how wonderful and delightful they are to use! I am paranoid about data loss, my laptop was running out of space, so after much research, I decided to try this Samsung SSD to have a physical backup of my important data and photos/videos. I am throughly impressed! The SSD is solidly built, is small and more importantly it has insane read/write speeds! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a dependable backup solution for their important data!

Fast dependable backup drive - Samsung is the only brand I'll buy

I own a few of these tiny little Samsung SSDs. Never a single issue with thousands of hours of use. Why buy any other brand when these work flawlessly, they are durable, they look great, they are compact and super light weight, and the specs are amazing. I really like all the color options, too! A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Great job Samsung!

So very glad to have purchased this external.. To find a 4tb SSD external at a decent price point that is water resistant and durable. The transfer speeds were awesome and plenty of space for what I need. Use a lightning port on a computer if you have one. Makes a HUGE difference!

I love the size of this and that it can connect straight to my S24 Ultra with the included cables. Absolutely no regrets on choosing this as my upgrade.

I use this on a Mac and formatting it is super easy, it comes with both a USB-A and USB-C connector cable which is super convenient. It's write speed is perfect and it has just enough space for the average Joe.

Why pay Apple's outrageous prices for more storage? This drive is large enough and speedy enough to house my Mac home folder! That's right, I simply change one setting on my Mac to start saving all my documents, downloads, etc. to this external drive automatically. I keep my applications on the internal SSD to not compromise speed. Think of the way people moved their photo or iTunes Library to an external drive... same concept. There are plenty of online videos to walk you through the process. The setting is found in System Settings > Users and Groups > Right-Click a User > Advance Options > Home Directory
