    Bought to back up photos when charging Win desktop to Linux. Much quicker to move 100 MB of pics than to an external hard drive. More expensive than a HDD, but worth it for the faster transfer rate and higher reliability.

    I got this product for my sister who is deployed out in the middle of the desert. It has lasted her the entire 9 months that she was out there with no issues. it's been dropped, kicked, and through sandstorms all while continuing to work fine. I bought this on sale, and while it is normally pricy, it is worth every penny if you are looking for a tougher than normal hard drive.

    Read some reviews for external hard drives and finally landed here. Primary use is backing up music library (ALAC and FLAC) . It's been plugged in and working great since day 1. Easy to format and setup. Good size. Would buy again and probably will, when prices drop on the higher capacity drives in the future.
