**Important notice** As of 5/21/14, this product is NOT functional with 2013 F9000 series UHDTVs. Samsung has not released the required US software and/or firmware updates yet. The TV and Evolution Kit will NOT interface with each other. After initial connections are done and the TV is turned on, a graphic is displayed which indicates a lack of connection. Sadly, I had to reconnect the TV's original One Connect box to my UN65F9000 UHDTV. Samsung has released the hardware before the software/firmware is available. The "cart" came before the "horse" on this product. Once this "bug" is corrected, the 2014 Evolution Kit will be a valuable upgrade for the compatible 2013 UHDTV models.

this is the third one of these I purchased, and after three im happy to say it does work like it is supposed to. this tv is not 100% 4k until you purchase this kit. the difference is amazing. but the customer service at Samsung is poor at best

If you want the most out of your F9000, this is a must. The setup process is relatively easy and the ability to stream 4K content from Netflix is amazing.

Needed the connect one for my new 78" curved screen Samsung TV. The connection works great, and it will accept Samsung upgrades

I bought this because the sales person suggested it. But on my T.V. It has all the same inputs and outputs on the back so really there was no need for. E to buy it. But when I installed it it would not work. So I returned it .

This product does upgrade the f9000 to stream 4k content through Netflix but honestly I'm not empressed with the 4k quality. The 4k that's being streamed through Netflix is not True 4k. When more 4k content becomes avialable then we will truly know if this evolution kit is worth the money. until then I would advise u to hold off on purchasing this product.

Upon set up through universal attachment caused distortion of picture

I was skeptic at first reading how others couldn't get it to work. Mine worked just fine now I am watching 4k tv through netflix n YouTube. The remote is great I does everything I need it to do so I will not need my logitech anymore. I also had it price matched with tiger direct.

The issues I am having with the evolution unit. I cannot get the system to accept this device and dont see how it is helping me at this time. I guess I am going to have to call Geek Squad and pay over $200 more dollars to get the system running correctly.

I seemed to have none of the problems others are having with this upgrade. Possibly they have fixed some of the firmware. Followed the instructions on backing up old one connect box and installed the new one. Was able to use netflix and see UHD 4K House of Cards streams well. Also you need this upgrade in order to watch the UHD video pack on the F9000 It updated to the 1125 firmware automatically and still seems to be running fine. Colors and grays appear ok, not washed out, no flickering on HDMI input as has been described elsewhere. This was shipped same day and received the next day! Very happy so far. I purchased this and the UN65F9000 due to the reduced price and upgradeabilty, and the new flat screen Samsung UHD TVs do not come with a one connect box, everything plugs into the back of the TV which I didn't want

GREAT: I had zero problems getting this to work like so many other people did. You plug it in, it automatically updates and then you're done. SO SO: 4k Netfilx (the sole reason for my purchase), although there really aren't many movies/shows to choose from right now, I'm sure more will surface. TERRIBLE: It costs $400 but should cost no more than $100 and worse of all, my once beautiful $4000.00 4k tv's picture now looks like an old LCD model from the year 2001. The colors are completely off with washed out blacks and everything just plan looks worse. I have 4 other tvs, all Samsung and each and every one of them now looks miles better than my 4k. I'm not even sure I can reinstall the old evolution kit without frying my tv altogether. I want to return this overpriced mess ASAP.

I anticipated the release of this unit when I bought my Samsung 4K TV a number of months prior. It was a pure 'plug and play' for me with absolutely no issues getting it running. I was not sure how the 4K Netflix would work, including if I had to change my account or if Netflix would charge differently. Well, as soon as I logged into Netflix with this unit, the 4K movies appeared and were immediately available to watch. There is no additional fee #at least, not yet# for this Netflix 4K service. The 4K Netflix selection is still sparse, but will grow. Why all the talk of Netflix 4K? Because that was my reason for the upgrade...

Samsung will not provide a working firmware for this unit and nobody can use it. There is no Netflix in Apps; color is faded and rendition is poor; picture flickers and jutters.

I think Samsung has made a promise there having a hard time keeping this unit will not work right without the proper firmware and after 2 updates it still is awful . You end up reinstalling the old box to get the nice picture and Netflix back and the rvu wont work at all with the new box very poor on samsungs part .

Samsung finally came thru with the software update in late June that brought netflix back. And after I reset my tv back to factory settings the picture is the best i've ever seen on a tv. My only complaint now is the remote they supplied with the evolution kit is junk. So cheaply made. Why they couldn't supply the same remote that came with the tv i'll never know.
