My old smart home system by Lowe's was no longer supported so I had to get a new one. The old leak sensors still worked but i added one of the Samsung ones. It was so much simpler to install and use that I bought several more and got rid of the old ones. This unit is just great!

Synced up well with SmartThings, tested a few times with minimal amount of water and alarmed correctly and quickly every time. Sensor is on the same floor as the SmartThings hub but I'm not sure that makes a difference. Definitely recommend and goes on sale frequently.

It was very easy to set-up (literally click a button in the app & pull the tab from the device). It’s small enough that if you store things under your kitchen sink, like I do, it’ll fit in the smallest area under the pipe (where the drip normally happens).

This newer version of SmartThings water sensor works quickly to identify and trigger a SmartThings notification or action. The sensor is also easy to dry the two contacts after testing. This one seems to work faster than the prior version(s).

Excellent product and great value. They are placed at the water main meter, laundry room, and bathroom. Great for when you're not home, but can still monitor areas for possible leaks. Pairs easily with the hub.

With the included battery these can be placed anywhere easily. They tell you the temperature in addition to alerting on the presence of water. Connecting them to the SmartThings Hub was simple.

These are an incredible value for the price and functions. THey need to do a little better with the alerts/notifications but compared to many other products, they're excellent. Install was very very easy.

I have always had a couple of water sensors in the house to let me know in the event of a water leak or sump pump failure. Have spent the last couple of years building up my SmartThings base and decided to add one of these to the mix as well. It's small and can be placed anywhere. Tested it to make sure it works, but luckily haven't actually had it go off in a real event yet. Great to have the piece of mind knowing that I can get alerted in the event that I am not at home via SmartThings. I might eventually move this to another place like under a sink or dishwasher, but before I do that I will get one that has the wires and sensor I can stick into the sump pump pit itself and be notified before water gets to the top.

Bought this item to monitor water leaks by our washing machnie. Boy did we get good use out of it! It connects to our Smartthings hub very easily and has been reliable to alerting us of leaks.

Linked this with a smart valve control in a second home. if water detected smarthings shuts off the water at the main. quick easy installation

It was easy to add this to my original SmartThings (pre-Samsung) hub. I can easily check the temperature, dry/wet status and battery level of the sensor in the app.

I bought 3 of these and one kept giving me issues, which I will be exchanging at Best Buy. They were easy enough to setup and testing them provided the notification I was expecting. Hope they actually work if the time comes when i do have a water leak.

You will need Samsung hubs to use this. Overall, its very good product to have especially if there is a water leak somewhere in your house.

I was so thrilled to see that SmartThings released a lower priced version of what they used to sell for twice the amount! Plus, the quality feels better and it can detect water on top OR bottom. It still tells the temperature too, so you can be alerted if it drops below a certain temperature. I have 6 of these placed around the house and feel much more at ease that I will be alerted if there is a water leak. My next purchase is going to be a smart water valve so that I can have the water turned off if a leak is detected.

Using it for about an year now and I am very happy with it. Initially I connected it to Samsung Smartthings hub. Recently I bought a Hubitat Elevation hug to replace Smartthings hub. It is working great so far. I kept one in the basement floor near the sump pump and another one in the laundry room. It shows 70 percentage battery left after one year of usage. The one in the basement drains more battery because of the colder temperature there. Great product and I recommend it to anyone.

I bought this because I have some old water heaters that I wanted to monitor for leaks in the pan before I replace them. These sensors are a great solution for those wanting water monitoring and have a Samsung Smartthings hub. Easy to setup, less than a couple of minutes each. I tested them by placing a drop of water in a plate and putting the sensors on top...boom, immediate alert on my phone! I wiped off the sensors and they indicated it was dry. Very inexpensive way to sense something that could potential end up being extremely expensive.

Installation was very simple with my existing samsung smartthings hub v3. Bought new washer and installed this device in my laundry room. That same evening it detected leak, saved huge bucks!!! by avoiding water flooding.

We had a blown line some years ago and started using this Samsung system. It works. We have sensors around the washer, toilets and basement drains. They alert and are worth the money.

So far it responded very well to all my tests and I received notifications. It was fairly easy to connect it to the Smartthings Hub.
