A: I'm using this sensor with the plain smartthings hub, not the ADT one. You can set it to send alerts when a certain temp is reached.
A: If you are using SmartThings, when you are setting up your leak settings in the smart home monitor (classic app), click on “alert with siren” and check the box next to the siren you have. If you don’t have one, any z-wave siren will need to be added into the hub prior to linking the sensors.
A: Hello! You can absolutely create a temperature notification within the SmartThings App using the Water Leak Sensor in a custom automation. You select the temperature threshold, as well as the message that is sent if the threshold is hit. Q: Is it necessary to have a hub for this to work? Can it work directly with router?
A: Yes, it does require the Samsung SmartThings hub.
Q: Will this work with an Echo Plus as the hub?
A: I have it all connected with my echo devices and it works.

A: No. The water sensor does not use WiFi. As such you must use the smart things hub to connect to it.
