Water sensor saved my basement from flooding . I got the alert on my phone & knew my sump pump stopped working .

The detecter is a nice device to detect leaks but it also monitors the temperature. small, easy to instal and connect.

Really helpful gadget to detect water leaks. Needs the hub for installation and detection.

We travel a lot and after one of our trips we noticed that a dehumidifier in the basement had leaked and water was in the basement, fortunately no real damage was done but it really concerned us, if we had been gone longer, it could have been a disaster. Now we put this sensor on the basement floor near the dehumidifier and if there is any water at all it sends us an alert and we can have a family member check it out.

We had a leaky spot under our sink. The drips were never consistent and hard to locate. I put this device under our sink and within 24 hours, I was receiving alerts on my iphone that the drip had started. I was able to track it down to a flex hose going bad in our kitchen sink. It does not take much water to activate it. I am super happy with this product.

I checked out quite a few of these water detectors before choosing the Samsung. I already use many Samsung products and like the brand but was open to other items. I chose the Samsung ones because they are small, the app looked easy to use and I would be able to use the hub with other items in my home. So far, no issues and I have an added peace of mind that if a leak is detected that I will be notified.

We purchased this for our mechanical room. This room not only has a sump pump, but also contains our water filtration system, softener, well tank, and water heater. It is an area we do not check on daily, but it gives us a peace of mind to know we will notify us if moisture is present. It also allows us to check the temperature and humidity in the room and the sensor battery level.

I purchased several of these Samsung water leak sensors to monitor for leaks throughout my home. They pair easily with my SmartThings hub. I like that they have sensor contacts on the top and bottom so leaks are detected from spray falling down from above and also water pooling on the floor. So far I've deployed them under all sink cabinets, laundry room floor, and in basement on floor by water heater and water softener. To prevent them from being moved or tipped on their side by pets or moving stuff around under cabinets I've placed water sprinkler system guards on top of them. I was concerned these metal wire guards/cages might reduce the wireless signal but doesn't seem to be the case. I've had them in place for about a month now and they are working well. I set up automations in SmartThings to send SMS TXT alerts to my cell phone and my wife's if there is a leak detected. I also placed one in a waterproof cell phone pouch and it's floating in my hot tub to monitor for water temperature drops that would indicate a malfunction. Big concern is losing heat during the winter months here in Michigan where I live. If I get a leak detected that tells me the waterproof pouch is no longer sealed. Only in use for a month but so far working great!

This is a great add on for SmartThings. It adds sensors for water/leaks and temperature. I use it under my kitchen cabinet to ensure the pipes don’t get too cold (and don’t freeze) and to detect any leaks that may occur. It was easy to install in SmartThings and the batteries last a long time.

After experiencing a water leak that caused damage, I picked up a few of these. A month later one of them successfully notified me of another leaking faucet in a different spot of my house, which I was able to replace for minimal $$ thanks to this. Since then, I now have these little gems all over the house.

I brought the device home, started setting it up, and put it in my pocket until I had a chance to bring it down to the basement. I went outside in a downpour, forgetting this was still in my pocket, and I started getting notifications in just moments. From that point on, I felt that I could rely on this device to easily detect moisture/leaks.

This is worth its weight in gold if you need to watch for water leaks. My hot water heater started leaking and i would not have noticed if this alarm didnt go off. It also notified me when my AC unit cooling pan drain blocked. I have 3 of these and am looking into getting a 4th and one for my mothers house.

We use these to monitor for water in our basement. This is one of 4. We use it with our Samsung SmartThings Hub. Works great! I have it set to notify us on our phones if it detects water, and if we're home, it will power on the lights in the house and play a verbal notification on our smart speakers.

Works great. Tested with adrop of water. Small and reliable.

I have a handful of these around the house. I laid new flooring that isn't waterproof in the kitchen so one of these went under every appliance. A water leak would cause so much hassle and the piece of mind having these is awesome. Just pair them, place and forget. I test them once in a while and they work great.

I purchased 2 of these sensors and so far they work great. I tested both the upper and lower contacts with a drop of water and I received almost instant notification on my cell for both the wet and dry states. Be advised you have to set up an automation for these notifications. Not sure how long the battery will last so only 4 stars. So far both sensors are still at 100% but I only installed them yesterday behind my washing machine and in the catch pan under my water heater.
