Bought it to detect potential leak from washing machine. Works seamlessly.

This water leak sensor actually saved my home from water damage when my water heater in the attic sprung a leak. It alerted me while I was at work through the SmartThings app notifications. I was able to get home to turn off the valves before the drip tray overflowed.

It's a little clunky and appears to go offline at times, but comes back online after not too long. I use it with the ST hub and am not sure if it's the hub or this device causing it to go offline. Or if that's what it's supposed to do? Anyway, when it's online it handy and gives me the temperature in addition to the condition of dry. I haven't had any wetness yet, but hopefully when I do, it will let me know. Was easy enough to configure and add to ST.

This newest version of SmartThings water sensor is much improved over the previous model which for me would loose signal in the basement frequently. The newer model does not have this issue and it can also detect water dripping onto the top of it from above.

I have SmartThings network at home, so when I got this item delivered, I was able to pair it with the hub pretty easily. Once it's paired, I create a tiny puddle on my countertop, and put this sensor on the water. Voila, I got immediate notification that it detected water.

Great sensor to alert you to any potential water leaks. I purchased 12 of devices for each sink and water pump in the garage. Integrates with smarthings hub and turns WiFi lights red and sound bar siren along with text message to my phone.

This was real easy to set up with the smartthings hub. No issues with connectivity. I have it next to my hot water heater. I did a test by wetting the sensor and within seconds I got a notification on the smart things app. The hardest thing was opening the box!

Easy connection to the Samsung SmartThings Hub. Effectively alerts you when water touches either top or bottom of the sensor. No false indicators, even in high humidity. Also tells you temperature where sensor is located, and indicates remaining battery percentage.

Tested this device and it passed the tests! What I did to enhance monitoring is integrated IFTTT with Smart things and set a rule to call my phone if a leak is detected. Tested it out while I was out by asking someone to pour water on sensor and it worked within 15 seconds of triggering!

It took me less than 5 mins to setup. I used it under the kitchen sink. It paired nicely with SmartThings. I added "SmartThings Home Monitor" smart app, in which you can setup the alerts/notifications.

Easy to connect. Water detector works well and sends notification. Would be nice to have notification on temps for a range instead of either high or low. Would like to have better editing for temp logs. Nice to have both water and temp functions in a small unit.

I purchased 5 of these to strategically place around our condo. All 5 paired easily to SmartThings and report moisture and temperature to the app. The design is such that it has sensors on top to catch drips as well as on the bottom to catch surface moisture.

I have this in the laundry room. had a slow drip it let me know before the water damaged the wall. I fixed the leak and I relax knowing that if it leaks again Ill know before I step in a puddle. Side note it also report the temp so I can tell if the dryer has been done.

Extremely good at detecting water instantly. I added this additional sensor behind the refrigerator, near the water line. If it detects water, it will use the SmartThings hub to shut off my main water line via the Dome Smart Water Main Shut-Off.

This is my second water sensor and happy so far about what it is capable of doing . Previously purchased the Gen 1 and put it under the kitchen sink cabinet and this one goes in my laundry room. Not much of difference from Gen 1. Battery life is excellent

My first smart thing I attached to my smartthings hub. Was really easy. Had it disconnect once since it has been setup. It was easy to reconnect. Hope it does not do that very often however, I have it in our finished basement and do not want any potential water damage.

Great water leak sensor. Has worked and pairs with smartthings flawlessly and have detected water leak once from a leaking pipe in the basement. This one adds another electrode on the top to the sensor for any drips detection. A must have for all Smartthings users.

A fantastic addition to your smart home, especially to give a quick alert to a water leak. Installed these near the kitchen sink and washing machine, only wish they weren't discontinued so I could add a few more.

Well this sensor is much better designed than its prior generation sensor as this one can detect water not just from the floor but also from the top. The only thing I wished they would of added onto this sensor a alarm to let you know that it has detected a water leak

I bought this after I had a plumbing issue. Of course, I haven’t had any plumbing issues after I got it. But it does appear to work after testing it. I already had a SmartThings hub so this for a no brainer choice for water sensor for me.
