I have several of these and have paired them with both SmartThings and Hubitat. Some are over a year old and I've never had to change batteries. The battery may say its half gone after the first few weeks. Ignore that and keep using it. Their battery reporting system does not work well for a battery chemistry that looses it first 25% of voltage right away.

Very Affordable Water Leak Detection

Saved my central air system.

I set it to alert me if it detected moisture and to then switch off the A.C. unit to prevent damage. It worked amazingly when my unit's drain pan clogged and it shut off the system immediately ensuring I only had a small drop of water to deal with instead of a ruined filter and possibly damaged system. Worth every penny.
