Super Quiet! Excellent Wash

This dishwasher is so so quiet. We have an open plan concept and we don't hear it running. We have had no problems with washing or drying dishes. We use a Cascade Pac & Rinse Aid. The dishes come out bone dry without using the additional drying selection. Cups and glasses that have an indentation in the bottom when loaded upside down, will hold some water - but it's minimal and only to be expected. We have full loads and the drawers run smoothly. This was a great value for money - very happy with this purchase.

I did not do my homework. I understood Samsung had one of the best dishwashers and I fell in love with the dark stainless. It looks great but that is about it. A dish cycle takes 3 hours. If you do not wash your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher they will not get clean. Sadly even glasses, that only had water in them, will come out with a crusty or filmy residue. This is even after running my tap very hot before I start the machine; running my garbage disposal; using the best detergent plus jet dry; and rinsing (almost washing) my dishes before I place them inside.
So let me summarize. Now that I replaced my 9.5 yr. old dishwasher with this new Samsung, I now wash dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. I wait for the dishwasher to clean (and barely dry) my dishes in 3 hours. Then I wash 20% or more of my dishes after the 3 hour cycle completes.
For kicks I tried using the "heavy" cleaning cycle. It broke 2 glasses. I tried calling Samsung, but they pushed me back on Best Buy.
Oh, I forgot to mention, the bottom rack is only good for plates. It doesn't fit bowls very well event with all the adjustable arms. The Samsung photo shows pots being cleaned. If this machine can not clean a plate or bowl I doubt it can clean pots. I wouldn't even waste my time trying.

We bought this to match the rest of the black stainless Samsung appliances. I think it's over priced for what it is compared to other products. It is a little complicated to operate for different users. Looks and sounds good.

I've owned the dishwasher now since the end of April and am very happy with it. It's so quiet that I wouldn't know it was running if not for the cool blue light being on. Does a great job cleaning but you need to make sure to use a good detergent (I use Cascade gel packs). I've seen some reviews that it doesn't dry well but I use the dry plus and it's done great. Would definitely purchase again!

I replaced an older dishwasher that worked perfectly fine for this model for its aesthetics and have had several problems since. The top rack pops out stopping it in the middle of its cycle. The racks have large gaps in them so handles can easily block the waterwall. The flexible stands for holding dishes in place often fall. Now the deal is broke after barely a years use leaving large pools of water all over the floor. Samsungs contractors came out several times and could not repair it and now they are refusing to replace it!

Terrible dishwasher. Worst appliance I've ever purchased. It's quite but that's the only good thing. Dishes are more wet after wash then during I think, smells funny, terrible rack design, bottom rack always hits the side when you push it back in (so annoying) I could keep going but I think you get the picture

I'm a Samsung fan by far, all of my TVs and appliances are Samsung. With that being said its hard to give on of their products a negative review, but I must to help others from wasting their time and money. The unit does wash dishes great, and is very quite doing so, but the problem is the dishes are soaked still when wash is done. My old 11 year old dishwater dried my dishes perfectly. I called Samsung support and they suggested opening the door after the cycle, what? Why should I have to to that? I figured I'd give it a try, qeuss what... Still wet. I have also notice with the moisture being trapped in watcher it starts to have a smell. I hope this helps others out there. Buy a Bosch!

We had Whirlpool appliances that worked fine but showing their age. I guess we watched too many episodes of "Flip Or Flop" because we decided to get fancy and re-do our kitchen with new appliances and went for the Samsung black stainless series. If it were me, I'd have kept the Whirlpools until they exploded. But, happy wife, happy life. After spending thousands for the set, I like many thought the dishwasher would be my favorite...must be showing my age when an appliance can make me happy (actually the fridge is my favorite, but I digress). But regarding the dishwasher, it's simple enough to use, and quiet as can be. The LED light is neat as well, and lets you know it's running. Those are the good points. The bad points are that the dishwasher is small and has way fewer options compared to the Whirlpool we just abandoned. Some plates we have can't fit in the bottom rack without the water spinner hitting them, which is an inconvenience. Like other posters, we get the wet and some unclean dishes as well. Kind of disappointing, considering the premium price. One last complaint, the LED light should be an optional ambient, but only appears when running. Ah well. Too late now.

I am so sad I didn't read the reviews before buying this dishwasher. I love the way it looks, how quiet it is, the blue light that shows that it is on and the sweet song it plays with it is finished. I hate the bottom rack. For some reason, some of the prongs are tall and most are short. You can only load big plates in the tall prongs. Nothing fits in the smaller prongs. Everything falls over. There isn't a way to load bowls in the bottom rack either.
The dishes don't get near as clean as I thought they would for a brand new dishwasher and even with the Dry+ setting on, they don't ever get completely dry.

I had read reviews prior to delivery of our Samsung dishwasher, and was concerned about the drying capability. But we have had no problem in this area. Our dishes are completely dry every time we have run the dishwasher. I use the rinse agent, set the "normal" cycle, and that's it. After I empty dishwasher, if there's still a bit of condensation inside tub, I leave door slightly open for 30 minutes or so and it dries up. Our dishes come out sparkling clean. We are very satisfied with this dishwasher!

This dishwasher is questionable as to what the word "washer" has to do with this product. It does NOT get the dishes clean with the waterfall mechanism and as for drying power, I would have had better results using a hairdryer. Buyers beware...this is not the product you want. Gave it one star because it is attractive. Also the service from Best Buy is absolutely the worse I have ever experienced.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with your DW80J7550US Dishwasher, TrueStory. If you haven't done so already, please refer to the User Manual for tips on overcoming the issues you're having. For example, cleaning the spray nozzles, checking water pressure and temperature may help to improve the cleaning performance. Selecting the Sanitize cycle, using a rinse aid and leaving the door closed until the cycle is complete can help to maximize the performance of the condensation drying technology.
Thank you, Ms. Samsung

I purchased this with a bundle of appliances for my new kitchen. Unlike the other appliances, my old dishwasher was only a couple of years old and worked well. It was a fairly standard model that went for a few hundred dollars. I fully expected this more expensive WaterWall model to outperform my old one in every way. That, sadly, has not been the case. This is one of those dishwashers that require you to wash dishes before loading up. It is too weak to remove anything from dishes that is not in a liquid state. It got so bad that I called Geek Squad and a tech came out to look at it and it turns out the pump wasn't working. Oh good, I thought, that explains the poor performance.
Not so fast. While the new pump did dramatically improve the cleaning power of the dishwasher it's still no where near as good as my old cheap one. It still won't remove anything that's 'stuck on'. It still struggles to clean a full load. It's a terrible disappointment and unfathomable that a new dishwasher can be this bad after decades of development. The only good thing about it is that it's extremely quiet.
I am seriously contemplating eating the loss on this and replacing it with another brand.

Installation was horrible.

It was a nightmare getting our dishwasher installed. I was told Geek Squad would be installing it since we purchased the extended warranty, but it actually was a third party who installed. The installers were polite & respectful, but they also were over 2 1/2 hrs past their appt time of between 8 am to 12 pm. They did call me at 12:07 pm & said they'd be there for sure within the hour, but was still an hour & half later than that. When they did finally arrive I not only had purchased the Samsung dishwasher, but also the Samsung front load washer & dryer with pedestals for both in the black stainless steel color to match the dishwasher's color. We had paid the $139.99 for installation for the dishwasher & the washer & dryer we're also to be installed as well. I had to help the installers install my own dishwasher because one they brought no flashlight to see underneath the dishwasher in order to connect the wires up. It was day time & the lights were on as well, but it still was too hard to see underneath it. Who comes to install an item and brings no flash light? Second, I had to hold the flashlight for them to see stuff & there's two installers. Third, I was down on the floor with both of them having to put my hand underneath the dishwasher to bring the electrical line up to the front of it to connect to the dishwasher's electric connections. Why did I even pay to have it installed then because I was helping them to install it. I should have been reimbursed for that. Then their putting in the screws on either side of the dishwasher & metal is left hanging out & it's noticeable especially on one side of it. They said they were going to cut off the noticeable part & didn't. We've only had the dishwasher for just a few weeks now & already the top of it is getting scratched up because they didn't give enough clearance for the top part of it. And that is where all the controls are too. Plus, we noticed a few scratches on it after they left too. But the nightmare doesn't end there. We have a hallway type of laundry room, but these installers think they know best because they brought our pedestals in for the washer & dryer & then brought the washer & dryer in to install them on top of the pedestals. I told them it would have been better if they had installed them outside first than brought the washer/dryer in with the pedestals already on them. They said they couldn't do it like that because my door wasn't tall enough for them to get thru it. But I told them just a couple of days ago my husband took my Samsung washer/dryer with pedestals to our storage shed as we are keeping them to sell later & brought in my husband's old top load washer/dryer so it could be hauled off by them. So obviously it can go thru our door just fine. They said, "Oh really maybe we should take the customers advice & put the pedestals on outside & then bring them into the house to save us a big headache the next time." They also put a few scratches on our brand new washer & dryer & the washers pedestal has a nic in it too from them trying to put the washer & dryer on top of those pedestals. And the washers add a garment door has a scuff mark on it too. The reason why I didn't notice it until the next day was because by the time they were leaving it was already night time & I didn't notice it even when I turned the light on. And the installers were suppose to install both the washer and dryer too, but couldn't because they had no water lines for the washer & no steam line, 4 prong plug or dryer vent kit for the dryer which we had purchased as well. The installers were blaming the warehouse person for it & vice versa. I talked to the manager at Best Buy I believe he was the warehouse manager & he was rude to me about the whole ordeal. But he did get on to the one of the installers about it when I handed my phone over to him so he could talk to him. When the installer got off the phone he acted angry about the whole thing, but yet the installer was the one who told me to call them. The installers seem to be nice for the most part though & respectful until that happened then the one installer was acting funny. On top of that I had to remind them to call Best Buy like 3 times to make sure Best Buy knew that my husband & I were coming into the store to pick up all the stuff we had bought already for our washer & dryer as the installers said they couldn't come back to our house with the needed items for 5 days & we needed our washer & dryer pretty much right away. So we had to go out of our way back to the store 2 days later & then my husband had to install everything. They also left ALL their screws & such all over our driveway when they were unpacking all the appliances outside before they brought them into the house. We only discovered that a few days later when my husband got a flat tire in his vehicle & when he looked at the driveway & saw a bunch of screws & such all over. And the flat was caused by a screw in the tire. We just bought the house just a few weeks before we bought our appliances & I can assure you the driveway had no screws or anything on it but a few leaves which we swept off. Also, when we went back to the store to pick up the items they acted like no one had called & yet the installer had called Best Buy & talked to someone there about what had happened & what items we needed. I know that for sure because he had them on speaker phone when he was talking to them. Finally after about an hour later we got our items & customer service did give us a small discount of about $85 for all of our ordeal, but frankly they should have reimbursed us the whole $140 for the really terrible installation of our dishwasher & the non installation of both our washer & dryer let alone the inconvenience of us having to go back down to the store & we basically live in the country. It's not like a Best Buy is just around the corner from us. We've never in our lives had such a horrible experience than this. We needed to buy a new Samsung refrigerator, wall oven, built in microwave and range all in the black stainless steel to match our other appliances, but there's no way were buying it from Best Buy now. And our flat screen TV just went out on us today & we are needing to get a Samsung 65 inch curve tv immediately, but there's no way we'll get that from Best Buy either now. Best Buy would have had a big purchase from us from all of that if we had been treated right, but in actuality really weren't done right by. Thank goodness we got the extended warranty for the other 3 appliances, but hopefully it will be the Geek Squad that comes out if something goes wrong with our appliances. Hopefully nothing ever goes wrong though. Just because their the "Geek Squad" doesn't mean their going to know what their doing either. Needless to say we'll be checking into some where else for our other needed purchases. Best Buy has definitely lost a customer as well as many other customers as our whole family & friends said they do not want to experience what we went through & will not purchase from Best Buy now either. If I could rate Best Buy a minus one I would. Talk about one upset customer!

This dishwasher is incredibly quiet which is the specific reason we purchased it. With an open floor plan our old dishwasher was just too loud. I would easily rate this dishwasher a 5 for sound. The two negatives I've come across are drying and the bottom rack. It seems impossible to roll the bottom rack back inside in a straight fashion -- it's constantly hitting the side and is annoying. Regarding drying ---- this dishwasher just plain stinks at drying! The dishes are incredibly wet when they are finished --- even if they sit in the dishwasher for almost 24 hours! I've tried the extra dry setting and it's honestly not any better.

From the very beginning the Pacific Sales Person John in the woodlands store was outstanding. He found me products that would fit exactly what I was looking for. (A samgsung refrigerator and the waterwall dishwasher). While checking out the manager decided to get involved (Jeff) and told me when I needed to get the product delivered and what would suit my schedule like I could not decide for myself. I got frustrated at the situation and left the store. My sales person John called me and I came back in and purchased the product. Friday 24,2017 the morning of the installation I received a call and the representative said he was going to be late, I asked him if he had both my products. He said yes. I asked him if he was installing the products, He said yes. two hours after that I received a call from an installer. He asked if the products were on site. I said no but the best buy team member stated he was going to install the product. The installer said he would call dispatch and figure it out. At 13:30 Best buy pulls into my driveway and to my surprise only has the refrigerator. I was minus a Dishwasher. No one could get in contact with the installer. He was a no call no show according to Best Buy. I work a contract job so if I'm not at work I do not get paid. I was contacted by escalations (Stephanie) from Best Buy. We had a lengthy conversation but in the end I had to schedule the installer to come back on Tuesday the 28th. That was another day I had to take off for the installer to install a product that should have been done already. After talking to escalations I was offered a gift card for my troubles. Monday the 27th after 5pm I received a call from the installers company stating they could not make it. I had to miss a third day of work and schedule it for March 2nd which was a Thursday. When the installer arrived he seemed very nice and professional...then he started to work. He rolled the dish washer around my kitchen floor to find out where to put the power cable. He then cut a piece of pvc pipe in my sink and left the mess. Once the dishwasher was installed he left. I then noticed that it was not secured in any way and called escalations. She wanted to schedule another appointment and for me to miss another day of work for him to come back. I was able to call his cell phone and get him to come back and secure the appliance. He did the work and tried to leave and I had to stop him. All he did was screw the mounts about 6 inched under my counter top and push the dishwasher back in. After I was not satisfied with that he tried to pick the front of the dishwasher up to connect it to the mounts but that would not work. He then thought it would be easier to mount the appliance from the side. He could not get it to work with Samgsungs screws so he was going to use a long one from his truck and drill through the side of the machine... I stopped him and looked up how to install it on youtube and then showed it to him. He then installed the brackets properly but did not adjust the machine so they were bent upward and I had an inch gap between the bottom of the counter top and the top of the dish washer. It was not leveled, it looked horrible and would not work properly. Im not sure if it was damaged being rolled around my kitchen floor or if it would not work properly because it was not level. Best Buy wanted to send the same installer to my house to attempt to fix it. At that point I was done, I told Stephanie that the installer would not set foot on my property again. I had to schedule to get the appliance picked back up from my house. What makes it worse is that I already set up with John from the pacific sales to come and buy a Samgsung oven to match my new Samgsung refrigerator. I made sure to go to the woodlands store and explain the situation and why I was not purchasing from Best Buy. On a side note I never receive a gift card for having missed three days of work but I guess that is because I returned one of the items I purchased. I am willing to talk to Bestbuy about this horrible experience I have had. Especially since every piece of electronic equipment I own was purchased there and I talk my friends into shopping there. From this point on I will not buy anything else from Best Buy until they make it right. I have been an elite plus member since before they changed the membership. I am very disappointed with the way this purchased was handled from purchase to return.

I bought this because it was the only dishwasher Samsung made in black stainless steel, so it matches the rest of my Samsung appliances. But it is the only piece I bought I am not completely happy with. The unit is small inside, my previous dishwasher held a lot more items. And the spoke placement is versatile, but awkward to use and does not fit common items very well. I love that the controls are hidden in the top of the door...and it is so quiet when it is running you really can't hear it at all. But often times I find soap residue or stuck food on my dishes, even on the heavy wash cycle. I expect a unit of this price to perform better than the 18 year old bargain unit it replaced, but it does not work half as well as my old unit did. And for some reason this unit has an awful odor inside that is coming from the unit itself, not any food on the dishes. This is the only Samsung appliance I regret buying.

I have had this dishwasher for a few months now and while it is attractive and quiet, it just doesn't clean well at all. I end up having to crack the door after the cycle is done to get the dishes to dry a little better, and if you load the thing over the course of a few days it begins to smell absolutely terrible. I'm just not impressed for the amount of money that was put out for this thing and I would not buy it again if I could go back.
