Genndy Tartakovsky really hit it out of the park with this series. In a time where most animations are computer generated, this was all drawn by hand. He also insisted on another method that went against the norm... no black outlines. Many of the episodes are brilliantly written, and I know of at least one that won an Emmy (based on the story of the 300 Spartans). If you a fan of animation, you will love Samurai Jack!

Released in early 2000, 'Samurai Jack' remains to be a series of brilliance that could surpass most CGI films in action, horror, comedy, science-fiction or for sheer adventure. Gaining fans such as George Lucas, this series is a constant surprise that will lead you wanting to watch over and over again. This series could rank the top 100 in animations with Bugs Bunny and the Disney features..no doubt about it.
