"The Rock" is such a genial "everyman" hero that I find his movies entertaining even if the ground has been covered before. Here, "The Big One" strikes California and he must use his professional rescue skills to save his estranged wife and daughter, who have gone to San Francisco as guests of a technology mogul, from a monster tsunami.

You knew going in that you were going to see a movie full of unbelievable destruction centered around the west coast. If you love movies such as 2012 or The Day After Tomorrow or Twister you will love this!! The massive quake devastates the west coast!! If that wasn`t enough a huge tidal wave makes it worse!! Thru all that THE ROCK saves his family!! A must see...

San Andreas is a special effects masterpiece. It is loaded with action that will definitely keep your interest the entire movie. I think it is one of Dwayne Johnsons more believable roles and he does some of his best acting in it. The video and audio on the blu-ray version is extremely good. A great movie if you like intense action.

On upon seeming this movie on the self I thought to myself I haven't seen this yet and I have a 4k tv now then I said why not. Got it for $20. The cast is on point there are lovely ladies and a handsome fella in the Rolls. They gave the story more suspense. Everything was so awesome looking and exciting. Would watch it again and again

The movie does make you think about the next "big one".

Of course we have all seen the usual big one earthquake movies and how there is always those few people that always survive. Well this one is the same story line but told in their version which was surprisingly very exciting so I just had to buy it. I even let my family borrow it and they thought it was very good as well. Definitely recommend it!

This was the first film I played on my 4K HD set & it blew me away! It's not for the acting (don't expect Macbeth) but the effects & sound quality are beyond words! If nothing else, it's worth the price of admission to see San Francisco crumble! Far superior in this format than on normal sets !

After upgrading my TV to 4K and purchasing a 4K player, it is such a big difference in what I see while watching movies. I love how clear and crisp the movies look. For anyone who loves watching movies at home, having the ability to watch true 4K movies is amazing, and is worth the extra purchase price.

There have been a lot of movies lately that show what could happen in a disaster situation. There have even been movies before about the same topic, and earthquake in Los Angeles. This movie ranks very high on my list, and has earned its place in the DVD and Blu-ray collection we own. If you like disaster movies, you will like this movie.

I Was very surprised that the movie was more entertaining then I thought. The special effects were well done and the actors did a good job. Even though, as in all disaster movies, there some far fetched actions where entertainment came to the front and reality takes a back seat. But, it's only a movie, enjoy.

This is a big budget disaster movie that reminds me a lot of 2012 and twister to name a few. It stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and this is a perfect movie for him to star in. You'll figure out how the movie is going to go within the first five minutes but that's ok, you will still enjoy it.

This movie certainly fans the flames of what happens when a natural disaster hits. Looks like total meltdown of society with basic get it before someone else does. On this theme the movie is built. Even our main actors make similar claims to property. Like some shaking, and seeing Dewayne Johnson you;ll like this one.

I think that "San Andreas" was one of the greatest action/disaster films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite films of all-time. I also think that this film had a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, mystery, suspense and drama including a really great and amazing cast and personal storylines as well.

San Andreas is the action pack and edge of your seat movie that you must see. Dwayne Johnson was great with his role. The features in this movie seem so real and will keep you intense with the thrill ride it will take you on as you watch a earthquake destroy a city. I would recommend this action pack movie for friends to watch.

Enjoyed this movie for the action, The Rock and the reference about Bakersfield. The young actors was good and did well in their parts. We all know about the San Andreas, will it happen as the movie betrays it, not sure, but hopefully I will not be living in California when it happens.

"The Rock" Duane Johnson is pretty cool in this movie. Being the lead character, he initiates being a hero when the Earthquake strikes by saving dozens of people, including his Daughter. There may have been some more realistic movies about San Andreas but this one was just downright entertaining.

I am a disaster film nut. And although the acting could have used a little work in some places, the rolling earth and building blow ups were just fantastic. Made me think of it as a modern version of the 70's Earth Quake which was one of the first films, Towering Inferno anyone, that got me addicted to this type of film.

I've followed Dwayne Johnson's transformation from wrestler, to wrestling icon 'The Rock' to movie superstar and this is one of his best works. Him against a foe that you can't punch or grab and earthquake. If your a fan of the old fashion disaster movies from the 70's this is a good purchase.

No it won't win any acadamy awards. This is a great action movie. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the ride. The action sequences and special effects are great I have a SAMSUNG 65 4K HDR tv married to a Sony 4k blu ray player. It comes together that makes a film that pops.

First movie we purchased for a 3d TV. Same old story lines which were predictable, but the acting was good / believable. Great action for a 3d experience! Some amazing scenes with a helicopter, but the best scenes were the ones with the boat where you felt right in the midst of the action.
