This movie is even better at home. The characters are believable and engaging and the special effect are very realistic and impressive. The Behind-the-Scenes features show the great amount of effort and planning that went into the making of this movie. I am glad to have this movie in my collection.

I watched this movie in IMAX 3D and it was great! I couldn't wait for this movie to come out on video. The action was great and the storyline was pretty good. This movie had me on the edge of my seat a few times and had me covering my eyes at least twice. Over all this was a movie worth watching.

I loved this in the movie theater, even the wife went with me. Got this because of the terrific CGI. Really really good and the many sections in the movie are excellent for demonstrating a good sub woofer or towers with sub woofers. It's fun to watch and highly recommended.

I own both formats of this movie (3D & 4K) and I love it. If your a fan of the Rock and disaster movies you’ll love this movie. Picture is stunning and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack puts you in the middle of the action. A great popcorn flick. Worth checking out!

The movie has a lot of substance and was entertaining and enjoyable. I give it two thumbs up! It certainly had it's thrills and spills to keep everyone engaged. I particularly enjoyed the film's visual effects and sound quality, as well as its thought out and realistic story line.

The Rock has gone from wrestling stardom to a box office juggernaut. If you enjoy Dwayne Johnson's movies you will probably enjoy this one. it is a typical disaster movie, not Oscar level acting, but it is a fun time to watch The Rock do his thing.

After missing this in the theatre, I thought this might play well on my new 70 inch Sony 4K. Awesome movie. The story line is really good - not the schmaltzy natural disaster movie it is promoted as. Superb special effects. Have watched numerous times and am still amazed. Would purchase again.

Although this may not be the greatest movie ever or have the greatest plot, how can you not love The Rock and what he brings to his performance. Its a great film to sit back and enjoy for what it is. Don't get so caught up in the idea of it being the biggest blockbuster movie...just enjoy it.

My first thought was: "Wow. Another California-into-the-ocean movie." I was pleasantly surprised with the other aspects Dwayne Johnson brought to the role. Turned out to be a great action movie with a heart-warming family story. Somewhat predictable in places, but it had some good twists, too.

This movie has a lot of action and an ok plot. Some of the action is completely unbelievable. However, I still found it entertaining. If you are looking for a lot of action, this movie is for you. If you are looking for a great plot, you may want to find something else.

The use of 3D in this movie is very good. And it has a Dolby Atmos track, which I was able to decode with my new A/V Receiver. The movie is fast-paced, with good action sequences and a story line that keeps you interested as you are experiencing the characters going through a major disaster.

In the past, purchased San Andreas BlueRay, on sale, watched on my 4K, clear, sharp. Waited for 4K DVD to go on sale: great difference in clarity, color, pristine sharpness! Enjoyed it even more!! Great action movie, can't go wrong with Dwayne Johnson! Muah!!

This is the type of action packed movie you have to watch a couple of time to see everything going on. It is so easy to get caught up in watching one character and you miss something going on elsewhere unless you watch it a couple of times. Movie worth buying for your long term collection!

This movie is action packed, and a little scary, I must say from start to finish. I love the Rock and would love to have him for a bodyguard. It was sure entertaining to watch the devastating earthquake on tv but hopefully will never have to go thru that for real

Very action packed movie. If you look at the movie fior shear entertainment, you will enjoy going from one disaster after another. You can get into the characters and cheer when one is saved and when one gets what they deserve. I even learned a fact about a tsunami.

I was really blown away by this movie. The Rock is an amazing actor that really was made to make movies such as this one. An amazing thrill ride all the way through the movie. Amazed at how great it looked on my 4k HD TV that I purchased at the same time. Will love watching this one again.

I saw this one in the theater in 3D and I was hoping the 3D blu ray would be just as good. It does not disappoint. The 3D effects have natural depth and good brightness and clarity. The soundtrack is awesome. My subwoofer had the entire room shaking. A nice addition to my 3D collection.

This movie quite simply put blew me away! the effects are jaw dropping, the action will keep you on the edge of your seat and surprisingly enough there really is a plot and strong story- not just blowing things up. you really come to care for the characters. I HIGHLY recommend this movie.

Story plot was boring and obvious. But the rock was a great character for this role in this action packed movie. The 3d was descent and the surround sound was definitely the high light of this flick. The anxiety of some of the scenes had Me on the edge of my seat!

The special effects in the movie were pretty good, not so sure the tidal wave was believable. The story was good and had a lot of drama. Dwayne Johnson surprised me. His acting was much better than I expected. I'll be looking for him to play more parts like this!
