    I purchased this drive to give a large video file to someone, it was cheap, and Sandisk drives have worked well for me in the past. The file transfer was slow (usb 2.0) as expected, but overall the drive worked well.

    The San Disk USB drives seem to work better for us than some other brands. I am glad you can still buy these - I need the smaller size memory ones to send photos from my Nikon to friends.

    Got a couple of these on sale for $5. They do what they need to. Design is kind of dumb, when you try to plug it in, it recedes back into the housing.

    Good, cheap media for Windows "Recovery Media" (bootable), because it will just sit in a clean desk or box. NOT recommended for carrying because it has retracting plug without a cap to keep out pocket lint and dust.
