This is a big upgraded from my old external hard drive. Having the USB-C really makes a difference when it comes to loading any kind of files and I do use it for DJing so it’s also super fast on that end.

I bought an Apple Mac mini M1 and had purchased an external hard disc drive for Time Machine backups and to move my Apple Photos file to it so it didn't take up space on my main SSD drive. The photos would take forever to both load and delete. I think downloaded an app that tests the speed of connected drives. I was shocked with how slow a HDD is compared to a SSD. Anyway, I found this SanDisk SSD and it has been amazing! I finally can use my Apple Photos app with no issue and is just as fast as if it was on the main drive. I am very happy with this purchase!

This external SSD hard drive has tons of storage space and allows speedy save and/or back up to protect your files.

Expensive but works. Using for backup drive for another SanDisk 2TB and my computer. Easy to format for my needs.

I bought this for use with my genealogy. I have older external drives that have moving parts that fail and I am slowly replacing them with the SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD drives. They are much smaller in size with just as much storage and much easier to travel with than the larger bulky drives.
