Pretty easy to lose this thing! I had accidently set it on European instead of USA, and apparently the volume is limited to ~1/2 and I was going to return the thing angry. Then after researching, I realized it was because it was on EUR that the volume was so low and reset the thing. Works great, the sound quality seems on par with the ipods - so average. The size makes it a great gym player with no need for additional accessories.

I purchased the for my husband to use at work to listen to the Titans football games. He is not technically inclined but after instruction he's been able to use it fine. He loves the songs I've loaded for him. Able to maneuver around well. Quite small and able to clip on shirt.

Instruction manual? Who needs it? This tiny little device could not be easier to use. My only gripe is that the earphones hurt my ears, so my boyfriend gave me some awesome headphones to replace the default earphones. In spite of being uncomfortable (for me), the default pair offer great sound. I'll be picking up some more ear buds to be a little more discreet in public. :)

    Great MP3 for the money

I purchased this MP3 player because of the price and previous reviews and was not disappointed. It has been easy to use and the sound quality is great through the ear buds. It does not produce enough volume to really power my speaker (a Logitech Pure-Fi) but it's adequate. The SanDisk web site has had valuable information to help answer questions. I'm anxious to purchase a Slot Radio card to boost my music library.

Didn't care for the software but sync ed up with windows player excellently. At first it would only play the way it wanted ramdon rebooted and reloaded the files and works flawlessly. sound is pretty awsome for such a small unit. easy to use price is reasonable...

I love this little gadget, I had the previous model then when I saw that they were coming out with a new one and that it was going to have a micro SD slot I gave the old model to my niece (she loves it) and got the new one. I got this model the first couple of days that it came out, so I've had it for about 4 months. The fact that it's so small makes it perfect for the gym, work or pretty much anywhere. You can just clip it on your belt and change the volume/song easily. I love the fact that it has an FM radio, when I took it to work I wanted to be able hear the morning shows or just when I got tired of my songs to find some new ones. It can also be used as a "tivo" with the radio feature because you can also record things from the radio or just pause it. Well this review is getting long so i wont talk about other features it has... My point is that I love the mp3 and I will recommend it to anyone.

When I bought this it cost around $50. At that price I figured it would last a while especially since I used in only in my cab which is a prius. Sounds great through the speakers but couple of shifts ago it started cutting out. Tried different cables and was disappointed to find it was the player where the chord connects. Last night it quit working all together, won't even turn on. I see it is now only $30 at that price 1 yr is alright i guess. Oh and the sync prog sucks.

    LOVED IT

I really like this I had a PC phone that had windows media player but it was so bulky to run with and the sound quality was not loud enough for me. I did not want to spend a ton of money. Saw this was on sale and tried it. It is very lound which I loved to drowned out the machines at the gym and it can be very quiet for when I am at my desk. I recorded voice and radio and it is very clear. The menus took a little learning to navigate but I got it down after a few tries. I got the case with the band and it was so great using it to jog around the neighborhood very light. bonus was my phone charger also fits it so I can charge it anytime. I am going to buy one for each of my 3 children so they will quit borrowing it :) All that it is missing is video but I knew it didnt have it.

I really like this little device. It is very compact and has a MicroSD slot so my 4GB player is not limited to the onboard memory. It sync's easily with Windows Media Player or Winamp.

Excellent value. Lots of storage with Micro SD slot. Great sound quality in my car audio system. Battery does last between charges. For the price and ease of use I'll take 3 of these over and one i-pod

Really like the small size and arm band holder for when I exercise and sweat a lot. Stays dry. The only negative thing is the rechargable battery runs down pretty fast. Great sound too!

My kids recently bought ipod shuffles so I wanted to try out a non-ipod MP3 to compare. This thing is easy to use, even cheaper, and has more storage. I use it everyday at work, jogging, etc. The headphones could be more comfortable, but overall this is a great little player that is much better than the ipod shuffle. From what I've seen, it is comparable to the classic ipod but it is easier to use with other music services besides itunes.

I bought this mp3 player for my dad who absolutely fell in love with it! He loves his music and was thrilled at the thought of having so much of it stored in such a simple, easy to use gadget that could be carried anywhere. As a non-techie kind of person, I have a very simple mp3 player myself and love it. However, I wasn't able to find another one for my dad so this Sansa one was the next best thing. My only complaint about it is that it is very small and even people with small fingers would need to really watch what they do when controlling it. I chose this one over the ipod shuffle because this one has a screen.

Takes no time learning how to navigate. I got about 850 songs loaded. The clip works well. The screen is great, don't know why anyone would get an MP3 without it. My only complaint would be the ear buds. They are mid grade. Not terrible but nothing to get excited about.

Microsdhc and FLAC/ogg support for under $100 !!!!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I will begin by stating that this should not be called an 'mp3 player' because that does injustice to its name. Sure it will play mp3 files nicely (nicer than other devices also) but that is not why I love it so much. The quality of lossless music (in FLAC) is so superb in this player that you cannot go wrong for under $100 (I am including the price of additional memory). Plus keeping music in Vorbis (ogg lossy) to save space without sacrificing noticeable fidelity works so well. This device is the sole reason I no longer own or ever wish to own, an apple ipod. PROS: -flac and ogg support -microsdhc support -excellent firmware updates (rockbox support--have yet to try) -standard usb mini port (compatible with same cable for devices like usb soundcards, harddrives, sony psp, etc) -audiobook support (have no use for me) -simple enough to either plug n play or hook up to a music transferring program -excellent ID3,ID2,ID1 tag management (works flawlessly with Vorbis files) CONS: -battery life is short for such a small device ~15 hours of continuous playing (however powersave functions work rather well) -those who say it scratches easily may be right but all you have to do is take care of it; any music player will scratch if mistreated -radio function is weak (it doesnt have an antennae so what do you expect?) Overall I would say I am in love with this device. Of course the only thing I would say negatively is that it is not the Cowan 32gb, but that is for another day when i have ~$300. For being ~$40 for the device and ~$40 to $80 for microsd expansion, this is a bargain basement kind of deal. So throw out your ipod, buy some nice headphones, car speakers, and a home system and get this amazing piece of music playing technology.

my first MP3, and love it!

I've been skeptical about buying an MP3 for the longest time--hated the tin foil-sound quality of compressed music. I drive truck and hated having my prized CDs get all scratched up, not to mention the jewel cases now all look hazed or frosted from rubbing on each other. I thought maybe technology has improved since then and thought I'd give it a try--the price was right! My Pioneer deck has an AUX jack which worked great for my 2.5mm patch cable from the headphone jack on the CLIP+. Set the player's volume to it's max, and it's close to the deck's CD levels. The clip is handy and seems strong enough for the small size of this player. Ear buds it comes with sound good too. GREAT display, easy to read, good compromise for the small size of this player. The sound quality is IMPRESSIVE, and the adjustable CUSTOM 5 band equalizer helps to compensate for the device you're listening with (headphones, car stereo, home stereo, etc). Uploading files couldn't be easier, and the MicroSD card slot is a SUPER FEATURE! I can only find 8G cards out there right now, and once you install it, the player adopts the card as part of it's total memory---awesome for click-dragging for uploading, just plug the player into the USB port, upload your favorite tunes, let the battery charge, then you're off! The FM radio does have that TINNY MP3 sound, but a handy option if you're needing to catch local programming, talk radio, sports games, etc. Haven't tried the voice recorder, but wish the player would record off the radio, that'd be handy! So far, the SanDisk players seem to be the ONLY ones out there that have a card slot to increase capacity, that was my biggest reason to buy this one!

This is a cool little MP3 player that is a good alternative to the iPod shuffle, and has actually replaced my iPod Nano! I got some Best Buy gift cards for Christmas and was planning to get an iPod shuffle, but then I saw this on the next shelf. I was amazed. For only $50 (in-store at the time) you get an MP3 player that has an FM radio, a microSD card slot, and a 4GB capacity. This player is effortless to use with Windows Media Player, ad you can even use it with the Mac version of iTunes with a program called NoteBurner (www.noteburner.com; download the M4P to Sansa Fuze converter). All in all, this is a great player.

I am very happy with this product, though the Mac compatibility is misleading. I couldn't download directly from my Mac, had to transfer to Windows Media Player to convert the files and then put on the player. A little cumbersome, but doable for even a techno moron like me. A really great feature is that it will hold a micro disc - I added 8G - you could add even more but I can't imagine why you'd need to. If you want the latest and greatest this isn't for you, but if you want a great player with lots of capacity available at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend this one.

This is the best mp3 player for working out. It is light weight, it clips on to your clothes. It has very good battery life and it can be charged with a common USB cable. The unit looks sharp and the interface is very intuitive to navigate. The FM radio and a voice recorder are also built into the unit. It has everything I need at a very reasonable price!

bought for 7 yr old son's first Mp3 player and will be going back to get one for myself...ease of use is excellent, just drag and drop unlike my ipods and iphones for transfering music...sounds great and i have no cons on this product. durability is only lower because i wouldnt want to drop it but that goes to all mp3 players anyway
