And theres a big difference between the 2.0 and this 3.0 usb. Loading time is fast. Only draw back with flash drives is it says 128 but you get 116. Still really good.

It was chosen due to the exceptional reliability of the older device, I hope it is as durable. Having left the older unit in my pocket numerous times and finding it in the bottom of the dryer after the laundry was complete. Never an issue! This was not the least expensive unit and I do not regret the extra few dollars. It appears to read and write faster but reliability was the primary factor.
