I pretty much stick to SanDisk for solid state storage like this due to their super low failure rate. USB 3 speeds are amazing.

Just wish I hadn't lost all the information on my old one.

They both perform the same - 100 MB/sec read, 30 MB/sec write. The one from last year has an activity light. This one doesn't. I thought it was defective, and exchanged it for another one. The second one doesn't have a light either. This is minor, but it shows how the product is being cheapened over the year. I knocked off one star for this.

Costs a few dollars more, but worth it when transferring large files or large amounts of data!
