Piece of garbage, the usb part falls out of the handle often, and the whole thing is made of flimsy plastic.

Screen flashes black (complete balckout lasting a second or two) every time I use this drive. Tried reformatting both on Linux and Windows, screen continues to periodically flash black. I tried searching the internet to troubleshoot - most of my results are from people booting from USB whose screens black out permanently. Consulted with a software engineer who was concerned it was running some kind of malware in the background. Does this to every computer I plug it into, as long as I am using a file on it. I bought it a few months ago so will not be able to return it; it will probably end up going into the trash. Waste of money!

Hi, what you are observing is the difference in the definition of one Gigabyte by Operating Systems versus all Storage device manufacturers. Operating systems use a binary system which will present a lower number of GBs than the decimal based system used by Storage Device manufacturers to define the capacity of products. This is due to the binary system representing a GBs as a higher number of actual bytes. For example: Operating systems define a 1GB as 1,073,741,824 Bytes. Storage device manufacturers define 1GB as 1,000,000,000 bytes. Also, you may research on the internet by reading tech blogs/ articles to know more about the same. For any other suggestions/ queries regarding SanDisk® products, please feel free to contact SanDisk Support and we would be happy to help!

I carry this in my pocket and use it about 2 - 3 times a week.
I don't know how much I had on it but now windows will not recognize it. I tried 3 different computers and different USB ports on each, so I know it is not a computer issue, the flash drive is dead. I can't even erase it except by smashing it.
Just bought another at Costco for 1/2 the price.

This was a big gigabyte SanDisk after about 2 weeks of use ,it would begin to malfunction and in order to get the contents back you had to restart the computer, which began to be a hassle since you never knew when it would malfunction, this was my first and will be my last SanDisk usb

after 1 years use, once a month for bacfk up, it locks up or is not recognized by computer when plugged in. tries on different computer so it is the usb flash drive and not any computer.
I moved my files to a different usb and hopefully it will work longer.
