LOVE IT ! It plugs into my phone's micro USB port. Then, I dismount and plug into my computer - or either way. It has 32 GB capacity, so no more running out of disc space on any device. It's small and easy to take anywhere. The item picture only shows the micro USB side, but you slide that shut then slide open the USB 3.0 on opposite end. It does click into place and is soo easy to transfer files between devices. When I showed one of my friends, the first thing they said was, "Let me try that, why didn't you get me one?" This is a great flash drive because works in PC and Android devices. If your in the park with your kids taking pictures and your smartphone run out space, you can transfer data from your smartphone to your flash drive to free space.

I was under impression that I may have to something on the computer first before I can use on mobile phone. Surprisingly, when I connected the flash drive to the smartphone it automatically recognize it.

A real BestBuy!

Nice little thumb drive. About as big as your thumbnail. If you only used it in standard USB 2 or 3, it would be good. But you can plug this into an Android phone (check the compatibility guide on the SanDisk website}. It works with my Galaxy S6. You can use it to transfer to/from your phone and computer. I use mine as additional storage for music files. I plug in the device and play the music right from it. One thing, the standard music player that came with the S6 was not able to get the device contents into a playlist or shuffle from it. I could go and play a single file from it, though. Strange. But I installed the VLC player and all is well. One more thing, I have an Otterbox defender case, and the flash device was not able to fit through the case. Game breaker? No! I removed the plastic case from the device to expose just the metal housing. Now it really is tiny! So much so that is a little challenging to grab onto it to remove it. It is so small, you can leave it plugged in and pocket the phone. I wouldn't do that routinely, though. And be advised, if you remove the plastic like I did, you will void the warranty.

I was about to purchase a "normal" USB flash drive when I saw this Micro USB/USB combo drive on sale at a great price. Having a Samsung Smartphone with a Micro USB port, I saw the potential of this combo drive being very handy to have around, so I purchased it instead. Little did I know how handy it would be, as I ended up using it to transfer files between my phone and two different laptops in the first 24 hours after I bought it. The drive is very small, but has a loop on the middle bottom to which a clip or cord can be attached (which I did) to make it easier to carry and less likely to be lost. The drive has a tab on the top you push to the right to expose the Micro USB interface, and to the left to expose the standard USB interface. Once exposed, the interface locks in place for insertion into the device, and then you simply press down on the tab in order to push the interface back into the case. The one thing to be aware of is that, on the front of the package, it says the drive is for "OTG Smartphones and Tablets". On the back it says, "Compatible with most Android devices" and "Requires device with On The Go compatibility". Thus, you may want to double check your device's compatibility before purchase. As I mentioned, I've used it with my Samsung Smartphone (a Galaxy S3), and it works fine. When inserted, if I bring up the "My Files" app, the drive appears in the list of storage devices. Just for interest, I plugged it into an old LG non-smart phone with a Micro USB port, and the phone didn't show it when I went to "Tools" -> "Mass Storage". Thus, I can't recommend it for use with non-smart phones. However, if you have a compatible device, I highly recommend it!

I could not beat the price for this, plus the functionality is great on this device. I will say that this device doesn't slide as easy on either side as other SanDisk products, but maybe that will be a good thing, as I have seen that the slider on USB disk drives tend to wear off easy. Either way, great USB 3.0 device. Tried it with Nexus 7 and no problems at all.

I was looking forward to using this on quite a regular basis. It is functional and works well with all of my android devices with various Android builds. There is one MAJOR drawback that I think was overlooked. Most phones today are kept in some type of case. My phone is a Note 4 with an Otterbox Defender case. This flash drive will not plug in properly unless I remove the case. If it were a simple silicone cover... no problem. But for those of us that have rather substantial cases this can be a deal breaker. Now in Sandisk's defense, they did make the micro USB side a good bit longer but its just not quite enough. I would advise to check this out before purchasing.

This is a very portable item and works with all my usb devices. The usb is3.0 and transfer fast. And it also works with 2.0 usb slots.

Bought this initially to use for upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 on a tablet that required more storage to make it work. Everything worked as it should without any glitch. Now I have the ability to use the drive for whatever I need on tablet (micro USB) or laptop (normal USB), or moving files between the two. I have always trusted SanDisk and would not use another brand. Never had a problem with any of their products, and they always function as advertised.

This is a very handy little gadget that worked immediately when we plugged it into (1) android phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) (2) MacBook Pro and (3) Windows laptop. Makes it super easy to move files around.

The USB flash drive is small (about the size of a quarter when closed) and works great on my Windows OS as well as my Mac OS. Be sure to format the flash drive as FAT 32 so you are able to make it compatible over platforms. Would recommend to a friend!

This is a great drive if you have smart phone that has a micro usb port as the data and charge port. One side is a micro usb that can connect right to phone and transfer data. The other side of the flash drive is a usb 3.0 which can transfer your data quickly to a computer, etc. Would highly recommend!

I love the product it allows me to take media from my laptop or tablet straight to my phone. I also store movies on the media to not take up space on my phone. The playback is seamless from the media on my phone.

Thus is really a handy little device. Connects to everything. Can move files from my phone to my laptop or vice-versa or just plug it in to my TV or PlayStation/Xbox to watch movies. Really quite handy

One side has USB 3.0 for laptop or desktop and other side for micro USB phone to expand the memory. Works great on my Galaxy S4 using android 5.01 lollipop.

I really enjoy using this flash drive. It fits a lot of data and I can plug it into my phone and access files easily. I love that I can use it on both my computer and my phone. It is very convenient and I would highly recommend it!
