    The new USB 3.0 is faster then 2.0. I am using 2 to do backup on a new pc with 3.0 units.

    Works as advertised, but there should be a locking mechanism to keep it from retracting when you plug it into a computer. It forces you to keep a finger on the little ridge as you put it into your computer.
