This works as expected, fast data transfer and easy to retract and extend. I'm taking this opportunity to whoever reads this to make sure you are getting the USB 3.0 functionality in your USB drive. This drive has 3.0, but if you are comparing prices with other USB drives, make sure that you are getting 3.0, the speed difference of a 3.0 port in significant!

I've owned many thumb drives over the years, going back to when a 128MB drive cost $90. I've always liked Sandisk product due to their inherently good design. If I'm buying a drive, I now only buy those which are retractable as I hate trying to keep track of covers. If you have a USB 3.0 port on your PC, this is a great drive as it's so speedy when compared to USB 2 drives. These days there is little point in buying older technologies. Overall, this is a great drive which I highly recommend and would buy again in the future.

I bought this 32GB flash drive for my daughter to be able to move large video files from her DSLR camera. USB3 is definitely a must for large files. It is little bit larger size and it sticks out when plugged into computer. On the positive side the larger size allows the USB to be retractable.
