My computer is a Lenovo ideapad 300. the computer was built in 2016. Best Buy is a great place to buy specific items for electronics. We buy all our Apple products with Best Buy as well.

died after 1 year of light use

Was fast and working fine, then all of sudden just died and went to black screen. Luckily I saved the original hard drive that came with my laptop and now everything is working fine.

My 2nd desktop ssd
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With only my traditional 2TB hard drive, it would take 3-5 mins before I could click on anything on my desktop when booting up. After adding this solid state drive the operating system is up and i'm clicking within 30-45 seconds. Windows 8 or 10 will need 80-100gb of drive space, so I would recommend at least a 240gb drive, so you at least have space to throw the slowest loading programs onto this drive. The Sims 3, for example, would take almost 5 minutes to load before, very annoying, but not anymore!

Great Product SSD is the way to GO!!!

It was placed in my desktop with an additional 7200 rpm HDD. I love this, my boot times have reduced to under only a few seconds. This is very impressive! It lead me to purchase a 960 GB ScanDisk Ultra II for my laptop. It also is more than impressive.

Had to do some research as far as migrating my HDD to this SSD but not a big issue. Best upgrade if you want to speed up an old computer. Bought the SSD on sale too, close to 50% off and worth every penny.

Great SSD For the Beginner!

Yes, I lost storage space within the laptop (I installed the hdd into an enclosure so I still can use it as storage), however, my boot up times and read/write times have increased greatly! It was well worth it, makes my brand new quad i7 laptop feel even snappier!
