Excellant replacement for a SATA laptop hard drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Located a USB 2.0 to SATA Hard Disk Drive Converter on the internet along with "clone" utilities I downloaded from the internet so I could transfer my current laptop hard drive data to the external Ultra II SSD. I then swapped the drives and the SATA II drive came up perfectly. Windows 10 comes up faster, the laptop runs cooler, and the battery life lasts longer before recharging.

SanDisk makes a great SSD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd suggest a SSD upgrade to anyone who's using a standard platter type hard drive. This is probably one of the biggest user-noticeable upgrades that you can make on a machine, since the much faster read/write speeds will make even an older computer seem peppier and faster than it was out of the box. No more "boot the machine, go get coffee, and maybe it's done when you get back." Now you can turn it on and you go from POST to desktop much, much faster.
