Laptop hard drive crashed and I went solid state. Glad I did. Laptop starts up in seconds now. Very easy to install.

I purchased 2 of these drives as laptop drive replacements. The drives worked out great...took an 8 minute boot time down to seconds. User is super happy. The drives do NOT come with any software to do a transfer from the old drive to the new. There is free software online that can do this transfer.

I put this in an old Athlon dual core machine that was still using an old mechanical hard drive that took almost 2 minutes to boot up. Cloned the image and now, even with the old processor it boots in less than 25 seconds. It made the old computer feel really fast for everyday use. Would definitely recommend.

This is one of the cheapest ~500G SSD one could get. Have 2 of them -- don't actually feel quite different from another system of mine that uses a Samsung 850 pro which cost almost twice. So far so good. Hopefully they will last long.

I have bought three of these so far. Originally, I bought the first Sandisk SSD Ultra II to replace a faulty hard drive in an older 2008 Dell XPS laptop. Wow! What a difference in performance even on Windows 10. I then decided to replace the hard drive on a Dell XPS Desktop from 2012. Again, it was definitely a worthwhile upgrade. The difference in performance was noticeable. I also purchased a new 2012 MacBook Pro that was being discontinued. It was noticeably lagging. With this SSD and a boost in memory, I am really happy with my purchase now. I cannot write a review on the durability of these drives since I have only had them a few months. I can say I have went through many mechanical drives over the years so I hope to get the same or longer use out of these. After using an SSD drive, I would not go back to the mechanical ones. If you are a Windows users, the Sandisk comes with a great program to monitor the SSD drive. Since I run a virtual machine (vm) on my MacBook Pro, I can use the program on that computer too through the vm.

Cheap way for me to add some speed with decent capacity to My NAS Server. Bought two drives and have looked back!

we use these SSD's in our business to imaging computers. we image other computers in our computer fleet using these hard drives. These SSD allow my staff to image computers in half the time. I would recommend these SSD's to anybody looking for a good reliable and fast hard drive for their computer.

It used to take my iMac at least 2 minutes to finish loading from a cold start, now it's ready to go in less than 30 seconds. Solid-state drives are the most effective way to speed up your older and slower computers.

I have been upgrading everything to a SSD drive and found that this one is as fast as any other I have tried.

I bought this for my brother because he wanted his computer faster. When we installed it, it was good to go. We just had to download all of the programs he had back to the computer. Though, a week after, I asked him how it was and he said it was definitely better and faster than his old internal.

The swap of my wife's HD with this SSD was fairly easy and worth the time to upgrade her laptop

This drive is fast and at a good price. It brought new life back into a 10 year old Dell laptop. Highly recommend this drive if you are looking at a good balance of performance verse price.
