This upgrade makes old laptops new again! These go on sales can't resist Ssd will speed up any pic as a system drive these are great 480GB is plenty for most people and under $165 you can't beat it. Compared to lower speed ssd the ultra II is a speed demon!

I've purchased 4 of these same SSD's over the last year and I have not had a since issue with any of them. When on sale they are a phenomonal value. And Sandisk was recently purchased by WD which adds to the long term strength of these drives. Happy purchasing!

This drive is great. I had no issues restoring an image to it and - so far no problems.

There is a prediction that 90% of HD in PC market will be replaced by SSD in two years (i.e. by end of 2017). For me, I have 4 desktop PCs, 1 all-in-one touch screen and 5 laptops. Theses days buying a PC/laptop with a factory SSD would still mean you would be over-charged. I have replaced all HD with SSD for the computers in my house with quite a few brands of SSD. In general, it is about 10-30mins of software backup (depending on the disk size to be replaced) and 10-15mins of hardware work. If you are interested in DIY to upgrade your PC and not sure what I am talking about, search and watch videos on Youtube - there are plenty available. Among the various brands I have purchased, SanDisk Ultra II is somewhat in the medium spectrum in terms of specs - it does stand out of the general population when it comes to price. For 480GB, you can buy at $110 or lower, so long as you are not in a rush.

fast,compact, worked in my toshiba. NOTICE - adapter kit needed for desktop and my local store did not carry them so frustration because I had to order it online from somewhere else.

We had an Apple that had a hard drive failing. Required a quick replacement. So glad we went with solid state. My daughter said he computer is now extremely fast and I am confident she we get a few more years of dependable service out of her machine.

After reviewing many different SSD this one is top 3 best with the read/write speed.

I put this in my sons computer to work faster than a normal drive. So far so good. Works well.

This solid state drive for internal use is one of the best values around. Very fast and the price is right. If you can get one on sale then you might want to consider getting 2.

Excellent performance in my 2013 27" iMac! It does need a 3.5" adapter bracket with the proper screw threading to mount properly in the Mac but the brackets are easy to find online. It works just as well as the Samsung Evo 850 drives I own,too.

I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 10 on my wife's laptop because it was running doggy after the Windows 10 upgrade. Thought this would be a good time to put a higher performance drive in it. Boot time and program loads are lightning fast now.

As far as SSD goes, this one is a really good drive for the price.

This SSD installed early, and gave a BIG BOOST to my old computer.

Used it on a late 2007 MacBook to replace the internal hard drive. It's much faster than the old HD that's not sold state. It was easy to upgrade it with the use of the old HD placed in an external HD holder. I highly recommend this product.
