SSDs are great

You may find replacing the hard drive with a solid state drive to speed up things more than doubling my RAM from 4GB to 8GB on my old 2009 MacBook Pro. My 7 year old aluminum rock is snappier than ever, just by ditching the old HDD. The RAM made barely any improvement at all. I think this drive gave me a few more years with me elder MacBook.
