      This kit should mount flush to the wall. If you have a gap between the kit and the wall instead of mounting flush then the clips may not be lined up properly.     There is no template for the bottom plate so be careful when marking your spot to cut the wall. Also the bottom part that you feed your cords through is very narrow. Should be wider. You may need to feed cords one at a time before you screw the outlet in place. Otherwise this works as advertised.

    Not the product’s fault - more that the rep said this is what I would need to hide the cables when mounting the TV but when the installer arrived, they said it wouldn’t work with my wall. Had to return.

    I was sold this, by what I was told it was an educated person in products. I still have it in the backseat of my car because I have to return it. Doesn’t work with what I need it to do.

    I really wanted to use this In Wall unit but the recessed plug design does not allow for any plug that is not an old school straight plug. IE> Almost all of the new surge protectors have right angle plugs.
