Easy way to hid wires without being an electrician

Just plugs into existing outlet, so no wiring necessary. Just make sure there are no cross studs to block the wires. If we had to go a foot lower, that would have been an issue. Probably would not work as easy on exterior walls due to insulation, but on an inside wall it was quick, easy and looks very professional when finished.

The hole is close to the size of the box maybe about 2 inches less around. I run one HDMI cable (audioquest pearl 5M in wall rated) and a similar optical cable. I may have space for another cable but everything is plugged into my marantz receiver so I don't need to. I got this product because of the 2 power outlets. that way I could mount a soundbar in the future if I change my set up, or I may mount my apple TV behind the TV.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this product because it avoids having to reroute electrical wiring through the wall to the back of the wall-mounted TV. Only issue is the opening in the lower faceplate is way too small. With 4-5 HDMI cables, optical cable and Ethernet cable coming from the TV, they all can't fit through the provided opening. I'm just leaving that faceplate off, which unfortunately means the power cord is not as cleanly installed as it could be.

Only thing: the oversized connector (2x the size of an HDMI connector) for our Samsung UN65KS8000 will NOT fit through the lower receptacle. I had to cut a small hole adjacent to the lower box to allow the cable through. Not a big deal, just a bit annoying if you're not expecting it.

Great prodcut but a bit pricey

I love the fact that my tv is mounted to the wall with no visible cords. It just gives my entertainment center a nice clean look. The only down side for me was the price. It is a bit expensive for what is essentially 2 plastic outlet boxes and some extension chord.
