My dash has no room for one of the stick on phone holders, and I hate having something blocking the windshield. This has a low enough profile to sit on my dash and has a strong enough magnet to support a Note 8 in a case. Very happy with it.

Great holder for my GPS a s well as my cell phone, it couldn't be any easier, set up of GPS or phone in as little as 15 seconds, from glove box to the start of programming A must have for those that need to connect GPS and don't like it stuck to the window!!!

I seem to have trouble getting my Garmin GPS to stay still. I used to use a vent mount, but disliked the fact that I couldn't feel the fanned air on my face when it gets hot out. This mat works better, but I don't want to place the magnet on the back of my cell phone, and when I put the magnet on the back of my Garmin, it fell off. The GPS stays on the mat until I do a quick turn with the car, but the mat itself stays put. I would think other models of GPS would work better-- mine has a recessed spot on the back that didn't allow the magnet to stay on for long.

I bought this after trying a similar product that attached to my vent. That one did not hold my phone up. This one does not slip, holds my phone either vertically or horizontally, and was easy use.

Tired of the bouncing GPS attached over my much-needed vents on the dashboard, I decided to give this a try. Although my GPS has an indentation on the back and thus wasn't exactly touching the magnet, the mount worked great when I was on a road trip last week. Yesterday, however, the sticky side of the magnet unstuck! I will need to re-fasten the magnet. Perhaps double-sided tape will work, or will I need to use super-glue? I still rate this as an improvement over my last mount, and other devices would probably hold the magnet better than my GPS.

I use WAZE navigation system with my iPhone. I didn’t like the suction cup model because it leaves a tattle tail mark on my windshield. With the magnet attached (outside of case) it holds my phone very firm. I really like the fact I can now see my phone’s screen and watch the WAZE directions without reaching for the phone. Much safer using this item. I felt it was very pricey, but I wouldn’t be without it. Use it all the time

I have tried the suction type and was not satisfied. This magnet holds my GPS very well. I am a private driver with quite a few clients. That takes me sometimes to unfamiliar areas. It is bottom heavy so there is no sliding around on the dashboard. I can set it anywhere on the dash and it stays in place. Also, it is easy to remove from the window and place on the floor when not in use. The only down side is it is larger than I expected. However, it may not work as well if it were smaller.

Finally I have been able to purchase a GPS holder that really works. The rest of them are unacceptably deficient. This one works and keeps the device on the dashboard of my car where it belongs.

This dashboard mat mount is good in that it can easily be setup anywhere and put away quickly. I like that my phone attaches using a small magnet. It will slide around if you hit sharp turns.

this was a gift, but it does work very well. It holds the cell ohose as well as our gps unit. This is great because you do not have to have anything in your hands except the steering wheel.

It does tend to shift slightly on hard turns at times but has never come close to moving more that an inch at any one time. This could also be due to my dash having a dome type (rounded top) versus something flatter. Excellent product.

Very solid base and the magnets work well. I tried to keep it permantly on my dash, but the glue won't hold for more than a day in the heat. Would probably work well under a case though.

The stand stays on the dash and does not fall off due to its weight. The magnet is strong enough to hold the item in place no matter what angle it is at.

This dashboard mount is made for GPS systems, but love it for my I-Phone 6 Plus. I use it for being a Lyft driver, which means the maps are important. This device uses a very flat piece of metal that attaches firmly to the back of your phone and then a magnet in the dashboard holder. Easy to remove. Doesn't move when attached to magnet. It's an awesome setup that I use every day!!! Highly recommended.

This item works great for my gps. I do not have to stick anything to my dashboard. This item holds the gps where ever, I place it on the dashboard.

This beanbag holder stays where you place it on the dash. You can just move it towards you to program without taking the gps off a stand. Set it on the floor out of sight and back up on the dash when you return to your car. I've tried mounting my gps to the windshield, sticking it on the dash and putting it in a mount that hooks to your vent. Nothing worked well until I bought this beanbag.

This mount is very good to use while driving different vehicles. It stays put where you place it, and easily visible and does not get in the way of the windshield.

This dashboard GPS holder solved my problem of where to keep my external navigation device. So now my Magellan sits conveniently on my dashboard. This GPS holder comes with 2 magnet sizes. The larger size magnet worked perfectly for my Magellan GPS. The smaller size magnet would be great if you use your smart phone's GPS. The hardest part of assembling this product was getting the magnet out from the heavy plastic it was wrapped in. The rest of the assembly was a piece of cake.
