I originally wanted this item for holding an after-market backup camera screen, but the backup camera screen was too fat to fit within the grippers. So, I just use it for my phone and it works well - holds the phone fine and stays in the dash vent as advertised.

I do really like this vent holder for mobile phones. It was a little hard to manipulate/move where I wanted it at first, but with continued use it has gotten much easier. Great product for the price.

It’s ok. It does stay in the vent, but has a tendency to move the vent down because if it’s weight. Which makes it not as sturdy as I would like. You have to use both hands to place and remove the phone from the holder.
I like the design which allows air to flow through the holder.

Bought this on a deal of the day. Ended up returning it because it didn't really work well with my particular car vents (GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox). It would not allow me to leave my vents at the angle that I preferred, and after hitting a few bumps in the road it would usually ending up falling off every time I'd drive anywhere. Quality seemed to be good and it might work well with a different vent system.

I am not crazy about this holder. Ordered it on line and I should have returned it but didn’t. Unless you have the perfect vent it will fall out all the time and it is difficult to imagine a vent that it would work with and not fall out. But, on the remote chance there is such a vent and your vehicle has it, the part that holds the phone works. If you purchase this, immediately try it out in the parking lot so you can take it back in to the store for a refund and get something that works.

I wanted a nuvi GPS not my car navigation system because I can mount my nuvi on this holder on my vent and it is almost directly in by the top of my steering wheel so I don't have to look to the middle of my dash to see the directions. I had to use a heavy duty zip tie to secure it tightly to my vent. It works great.

Plastic material feels cheap. Works fine for most phones. My iPhone X with a thin case fits good. At times I’ve noticed it not holding onto my phone so make sure it’s snug fit to avoid it from falling. Similar to other reviews it depends on your vent. Works fine on the vents in the Nissan Pathfinder 2013. Did not fit the vents for 2019 Camero.

Great design and does exactly what it says. This will definitely prevent your phone from overheating if you have the heater on. Unfortunately had to return because it does not snugly fit the vents of my Toyota vehicle (I imagine it is the same issue for any thick plastic vents).

I like that it has a firm grip on the phone. Unfortunately it does not work well in our Chevy Colorado truck where I had originally planned to use it as the vent flaps are not a hard plastic, instead they are rubbery and so it will not grip as the vent flaps just spread open. It does work in our Ford Focus. My word of warning is first check what the vent flaps are made of.

I like the fact that it has a vented clip allowing the air to flow through it. Putting the phone in it could be easier, sometimes it squeezes the volume button, but it still does what I purchased it for.

This vent holder is just okay, it gets the job done for as little as I use it. I have a popsocket on my phone and it doesn't work that well with this holder. I have also had it pull my vent down, then I can't see my phone. I would recommend something without a am so it is more secure to the vent.

I bought this as a temporary solution until I find something better but I actually love it. It hold phone nice and it’s not constantly falling off vents like other products... you do have to adjust it to get right fit for your car

This item works as designed, sturdy and easy to install. I would give it a 5 stars if the phone holder is a bit easier to put and remove phone.

I purchased this mobile phone holder to replace my window mounted holder. This one is designed to connect to the vents in the vehicle. In that aspect it works well, because with the window mounted holder the phone would overheat at times. The vent holder allows air circulation on the phone. However, the vent holder can be cumbersome and difficult to use at times because the vent connector does not grip well and the holding arm does not swivel appropriately at times, and the gripping arms can cause the phone to pop out at times. Overall though, it does make holding the phone more convenient because it is closer to the driver.

Once you clip it to the vent just the way you need, it works well. I had to adjust it several times when I first got because it kept falling off. Works just fine now that I got used to it.

I have a car with verticle air vent rails, and so was looking for something that would hold the phone. This works but bounces around when driving. The best one I have purchased for stability is on that goes into a CD holder.

I love this cell phone holder and the non-blocking vent feature. However, I eventually returned it for this brand’s magnetic mount model for better ease of use. This is an excellent brand, well built with great features. The holder stays in place in the vent, unless you place it at an awkward angle that doesn’t optimize its performance since it slipped a couple of times in the year I’ve used it.

For the sale price, I must say I am pleased, Although it may wobble a little but and is not stiffly secure on the AC vent, I am satisfied. The phone is placed perfectly in eye range in my 2014 Toyota Camry.

It doesn't fit well on all vehicles but I think it is a good alternative to the suction cup type of holder.
