Firm magnetic grip!

There needs to be a magnetic plate install on your phone. Kit comes with 2. I found that base loosens occasionally. Also note the neck is not telescopic/height not adjustable, phone sits low to cup holder

It does take up a cupholder which is annoying when there are 2 people in the car, but otherwise works well.

Overall I think that it is a good value and does what I need it to do and eliminates the suction cups that were always falling off my windshield.

Mine are sitting at an odd angle that if I place a cup in the other holder it makes it difficult to place your phone on the MagicMount. Overall good product at a decent price..
