No problems so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing special, just a single terabyte drive for a decent price. I use it in an external enclosure and have had no problems with it so far.

A good purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a hard drive to replace one that failed after 5 years of use. I suspect it was damaged by high temperatures because my tower is in a corner with poor ventilation. I'm familiar with the Seagate brand and have always been satisfied with their products. The price was very competitive as well, even beating Wally World. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Seagate Drives Rock, Plain and Simple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't my first Seagate drive and won't be my last. They have all been solid performers and have lasted. I trust these Barracuda drives.

Good Deal!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wireless card failed and I needed to replace it fast. Looked at a number of sites and compared different cards, matching them to my needs. Over all this card met all my requirements and had the price. Shipping to the store was free and the item actually arrived close to a week earlier then projected, and that was over the busy holiday week. Would definitely recommend this card for anyone needing a good performance, low cost PCI wireless card. Have it running on a dual boot (Linux/Windows_7) machine and setup was fast and painless.

Quiet, fast and holds a lot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 1 TB HD died so I wanted another as I store a lot in "the cloud". This fits the bill as I have over 1200 mp3's and 2000+ pictures, 85 newspapers and their web counterparts plus all my programs such as Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Corel and more. Fast, quiet and usually reliable.

Great hard drive for a desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sale price was competitive and picking up at local Best Buy was convenient. Purchased 3 of these drives and all are working well. Since my old drive was smaller in my home systems I tried over riding the Disc Image / Acronis defaults as I really didn't need to make my Dell Utility Partition any larger, but this did not work well. I had to stick with the software defaults which made both my Utility Partition and main operating system partition larger than they were on my original smaller old drive.

Very quiet & fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to run the Seagate installation program as my older computer did not recognize the drive. The drive makes a little noise on start-up (like most drives) but then is quieter than any of my other drives during operation. This drive is faster than my other two Seagates and runs a little warmer. This drive was selected partly on the lower price and faster speed.

Very good Hard Drive.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Seagate - 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops is very easy to install and has been very reliable. It was installed in to a NAS (Network Attached Storage) in a raid 1 configuration. The system started up with no problems after formatting. Works great with my LINKSYS NAS200 Network Storage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When one of my 2 500Gb Seagate Baracuda drives finally died after 5 reliable years of use in my LINKSYS NAS200 configured for RAID file mirroring, I again went to Best Buy to get 2 replacement Seagate drives (in-stock) for my upgrade, doubling the size of my backup storage. Even though the Seagate website did not indicate compatibility with the 1Tb drives, I figured the fact that 3Tb was listed as compatible, I would chance it with the 1Tb model. I replaced the bad drive with a 1Tb drive (left it unformatted for a while until I could backup the other 500Gb onto my desktop). Following the completion of moving files around and re-organizing and deleting some duplicates I had from previous laptops/desktops, and, saving the result into my desktop PC, I removed the remaining good 500Gb drive, replaced it with the 2nd new 1Tb drive, and re-ran the configuration process that formatted the drives for RAID mirroring. Once done, I then copied the backup files from the desktop backup and all was done without fail in the background while I worked on my office laptop. All backups are now running as expected and no issues were encountered. Thanks to Best Buy for having what I needed in-stock and for carrying flawless on-the-shelf products.
