Seagate - 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops

This is the first external drive I've had, and I'm kicking myself for not getting one earlier. The included Seagate software makes backups painfree. It's been very simple to use and meets all my backup needs.

I have a HP DC5100MT and My old 40GB western digital had a bad sector that gave me blue screen of death, so I needed a replacement drive ASAP. I brought this one because the the store advertise the WD Black version as the same price instead of 99.99 as shown on-line. The great: This one had all the cables I needed. SATA power cable, SATA cable, screws, and jumpers for older models I would have gotten this one anyways. I cloned my HD on to this and it runs very quiet, I can't even tell the computer is on! After formating you get to use 931 GB! It also runs much cooler then my older hard drives! The question: The reason I gave this product a 4 out of 5 because I am questioning the life of my new Hard drive. I run Active Hard Disk Manager and the hard drive is showing its health status between 54-59% The ever first time I ran it with the new HD, the HD health was at 60%.. Maybe that is norm with new HD? I would rather see a new hard drive be at 90% or better... I only had this hard drive for 2 days, I will monitor the performance. This computer is used as a retired personal computer instead of a workstation environment. It is normally left on 24/7 unless I take the computer down once a month to clear the dust from the computer. I use this computer for gaming/ homework/ and compiling code. ( It says I can attach an image, so I will attach a picture of the HD stats here if anyone is interested or wants more info. The images are bit blurry though.)

I saw these on sale on BB website, I bought three and configured in a RAID 0 set up for HD video scratch, and all my media files. Striping three drives can give you over twice the speed of two. These went in a MacPro. I plugged all three in, powered up, configure HD screen popped up, picked my configuration, and in ten seconds I had a new (2,999,582,195,712 Byte) HDD that is so, so fast. The drawback to a RAID 0 set up is the fact that if one HDD fails, you lose everything, but back up is on the way once the 2TB externals drop a bit in price.
